Since filing for divorce on April 14th, Teen Mom 2′s Corey Simms and Leah Messer have been attempting to share custody of their 16-month-old twins, Aleeah and Aliannah.  Simms and Messer’s relationship has been troubled from the start, with Messer becoming pregnant only one month after her relationship with Simms began.

Despite numerous attempts to reconcile, the pair’s six month marriage came to an abrupt halt as the two began to argue incessantly over financial issues: Messer wants to use the money the couple has saved to upgrade from the trailer they currently call home, while Simms would prefer to use the cash to buy a new truck.

The exes were caught by cameras this weekend as Messer arrived to pick up the twins from their stay with Simms.  The two appeared to be on amicable terms, despite the weekend’s visit having to be arranged by their attorneys.  Simms, who had reportedly not seen his daughters in weeks, hardly missed a step with his two darling girls. A friend of the couple told US Weekly that the girls were, “giggling and happy… They were playing around on the floor with their daddy!”

It’s nice to see that one Teen Mom couple is still able to put their kids first…
