31 year-old Frenchie Davis convinced judge/coach Christina Aguilera to push the button with a rendition of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl” at The Voice premiere Blind Auditions on Tuesday (April 26)- watch video below.

Frenchie was a contestant on the second season of American Idol, but she was disqualified because she had some very compromising topless and naked pictures on a p0rnographic website. The singer explained she had taken the picture to make some money to be able to go to college.

Frenchie did not give up on her dreams and she even had the opportunity of performing on Broadway. Christina was the only judge to turn around, but Cee Lo Green was the one who immediately recognized her. Frenchie is a proud member of Team Christina!

Frenchie wrote on her official The Voice blog:

“OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t even begin to tell you what I am feeling right now. EVERYTHING IS A BLUR…all I know is that I am #TeamCHRISTINA! That was the most terrifying experience of my life!!! I just remember singing and thinking, “God, I hope SOMEONE turns around”. When that chair turned around, and I saw Christina’s face, I COULDN’T believe it!!!!

“I am so thankful for this opportunity. I am so honored that Christina heard something in my voice that she believed in enough to turn that chair around!! I am so excited to work with her!!!! The other judges (coaches) had wonderful things to say…and I even had a moment with Cee-Lo in which he recognized who I was!!! THAT is incredible….I am STILL reeling so please forgive me if this post makes NO sense at all lolol….NEVER GIVE UP YOUR DREAMS!!! I love you guys xoxoxoxo”
