It’s the Royal Wedding of the year, the decade, perhaps the century. The question is: how much will Prince William and Catherine “Kate” Middleton’s wedding cost? Millions!

The groom’s father, Prince Charles, and grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and the bride’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, will cover the cost of the wedding ceremony and reception, which will most likely cost more than $70 million. Kate’s parents will only pay a six-figure sum as their share of the costs.

So, British citizens will ONLY have to pay for “security and transport”, which means they will fork more than $8 million. Scratch THAT! They will probably have to pay $32 million! WHY?

Prime Minister, David Cameron, declared the wedding day will be a bank holiday for all the great people in the United Kingdom. Police and security (thousands of people!) are supposed to earn double while working on a bank holiday.

Royal Wedding: $70 million + $32 million = $102 million. OUCH! That is just for one day! Let’s not forget the days before and after the ceremony. We can only hope the royal couple gets some exquisite and expensive wedding gifts.
