It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Kate Middleton stepped out of the car at the Westminister Abbey in what will no doubt become one of the most iconic dresses of all time.

The ever-so-elegant Kate, 29, accompanied by her father, Michael, wore a long veil covering her face, and was adorned with a beautiful tiara. In an official statement from the Royal Palace, it was confirmed that her gown was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen:

“Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing. [She] wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterises Alexander McQueen’s work.”

It’s said that Kate also had a hand in designing the dress herself. She’s a modern day Grace Kelly. I adore it!
