Newlyweds, Prince William and Catherine “Kate” Middleton, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have been keeping their honeymoon plans as secret as the royal wedding dress until now.

There will be no honeymoon. Prince William has military duties on Monday, so the couple already left the Buckingham Palace and boarded a helicopter to an unknown location (pic above), where they will spend the weekend in private.

The Buckingham Palace released the following statement on the newlyweds honeymoon plans:

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week.

“The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance.

“The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon.”

No honeymoon for now. SOON. William and Kate probably made the right decision to wait before enjoying their honeymoon, giving the press some time to forget about the Royal Wedding frenzy. Then maybe the newlyweds will be able to enjoy it in peace.
