Ellen: You have the most beautiful voice…I hope everybody is looking at this going, we got to vote for people because I think that people thought you had it made…I think a lot of people thought she’s set. Pia: (Laughing)
Ellen: How is that going?
Pia: I’m really just focusing right now on my music.
Ellen: That’s a good answer.
Pia: I just met him. He’s a very sweet guy.

Jennifer Lopez thought that was crazy and James killed it dead. Randy Jackson praised James for sticking to his guns and giving heavy metal a chance on Idol. Steven Tyler said it was outstanding. Good job.

OK! This is new! Heavy metal on Idol. LOL. James gets the pimp spot with a celebrity guest (guitarist Zakk Wylde) and an almost 3 minute long performance. I guess they really want James to win this. Yeah, it was good. I’m no longer impressed by James’ rocker style. It’s getting old. Too much screaming… still pretty entertaining!

Jacob Lusk “Bridge Over Troubled Water” American Idol Top 8 (VIDEO)

Jacob Lusk performed Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” (also sang by Aretha Franklin) at the American Idol season 10 Top 8 live show dedicated to songs from the movies on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

Steven Tyler said Jacob’s voice is angelic and impressive. Jennifer Lopez said he is a gifted vocalist and pulled the chills out of her. BLAH. Randy Jackson said Jacob took his time with the words and it was perfect. Seriously?

I’m tired of Jacob. I’m so over him. Please America, get rid of him already! Jimmy Iovine condemned him for trying to lecture America and telling them to look in the mirror. Not cool. Jacob was the one supposed to be gone instead of Pia Toscano last week.

Haley Reinhart “Call Me” American Idol Top 8 (VIDEO)

Haley Reinhart performed Blondie’s hit “Call Me” from “First Monday In October” soundtrack at the American Idol season 10 Top 8 live show dedicated to songs from the movies on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

Oh. No. Randy Jackson didn’t love it and thought it sounded very karaoke and didn’t showcase Haley’s voice. Steven Tyler agreed, but said she nailed the chorus and some songs are all about the chorus. Jennifer Lopez also thought it was not impressive, but she doesn’t want to lose another girl.

Wonder why there are no girls left? That is why. Other contestants deserved the same or more criticism than Haley was subjected to… that didn’t happen! For some reason the judges seemed afraid to say a word other then you are great to Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery or even Paul McDonald.

Casey Abrams “Nature Boy” American Idol Top 8 (VIDEO)

Casey Abrams delivered an incredible performance of Nat King Cole’s “Nature Boy” from “The Boy with Green Hair” soundtrack at the American Idol season 10 Top 8 live show dedicated to songs from the movies on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

Standing ovation for Casey! YAY! Randy Jackson said Idol never had someone like Casey, a true artist. Genius. Steven Tyler agreed Casey is an artist in the truest sense of the word. Jennifer Lopez said he always brings something special to the music.

That was exquisite. Casey went against Jimmy Iovine’s advice to sing Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight” and believed in himself. Will America really understand what Casey tried to do with this performance? I’m not sure. It’s always a pleasure to hear him and exciting to see what he will do next.

Scotty McCreery “I Cross My Heart” American Idol Top 8 (VIDEO)

Scotty McCreery decided to perform George Strait’s “I Cross My Heart” from the movie with the same title at the American Idol season 10 Top 8 live show dedicated to songs from the movies on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

2011 American Idol Season 10 Top 13 Finalists (Bios, Photos)

Steven Tyler loved it (why does he even bother to speak?). Jennifer Lopez squealed “so damn good”, saying it wouldn’t have been her song choice, but Scotty sang it beautifully. Randy Jackson is a ginormous fan of Scotty (LOL) and said a star was born. “If it ain’t broke don’t even consider fixing it,” he said. Blah.

I cannot believe Scotty decided against “Everybody’s Talkin’” by Harry Nilsson. That sounded so damn good during rehearsals. Scotty could have had his moment, but no we got stuck with another country song. He needs to take risks to become an artist. I love his voice, but thought he was a bit monotonous and boring this week. I yawned.

Stefano Langone “End Of The Road” American Idol Top 8 (VIDEO)

Stefano Langone performed “End Of The Road” by Boys II Men from “Boomerang” at the American Idol season 10 Top 8 live show dedicated to songs from the movies on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

2011 American Idol Season 10 Top 13 Finalists (Bios, Photos)

Randy Jackson was impressed, claimed Boys II Men would be proud of Stefano and proclaimed that was his best vocal to date. Jennifer Lopez thought he became a performer. Steven Tyler said Stefano knows how to milk a song and it’s not the end of the road for him.

After a week from hell, Stefano managed to control his nerves and deliver his best performance on Idol so far. The judges’ praise was once again exaggerated. They made Stefano feel like he should have been gone instead of Pia last week, so that’s the least they could do. :)

Lauren Alaina “The Climb” American Idol Top 8 (VIDEO)

Lauren Alaina decided to take a small risk by performing Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” from “Hannah Montana: The Movie” at the American Idol season 10 Top 8 live show dedicated to songs from the movies on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

2011 American Idol Season 10 Top 13 Finalists (Bios, Photos)

Jennifer Lopez loved it, of course. She said there was some sort of tear in Lauren’s voice and she sang beautifully. Randy Jackson proclaimed Lauren is back and thought she made the song her own. Steven Tyler (blah!) said it was beautiful and it moved him beyond tears.

I don’t know what the heck they were so happy about? Lauren is a good singer, but that performance was pretty dull. Yeah, Lauren probably is a better singer (or less annoying!) than Miley can ever be… but Miley has the spunk, energy and confidence to rock it. Lauren just looked a sad and insecure little girl.

Paul McDonald “Old Time Rock and Roll” American Idol Top 8 (VIDEO)

Paul McDonald performed “Old Time Rock and Roll” by Bob Seger from the movie “Risky Business” at the American Idol season 10 Top 8 live show dedicated to songs from the movies on Wednesday (April 13)- watch video below.

2011 American Idol Season 10 Top 13 Finalists (Bios, Photos)

Paul once again had lots of fun on the Idol stage. Jennifer Lopez told Paul that every time he comes out there’s a bit of improvement. Steven Tyler loved how Paul’s crazy wild abandon translates to the audience (or whatever). Randy Jackson thought he was watching the fist number at Paul’s concert.

Geez. Seriously? I love Paul. That was fun and entertaining, but it certainly wasn’t as good as the judges make it sound. The best parts of the song were provided by that hot saxophone player. And I want Paul to get rid of those Las Vegas costumes for good.

Demi & Ashton Anti-Sex Slavery Campaign: Real Men Don’t Buy Girls (VIDEOS, PHOTOS)

Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher came up with the ridiculous “Real Men Don’t Buy Girls” anti-sex slavery campaign for their DNA Foundation (Demi & Ashton Foundation). The campaign has been highly criticized by the critics, who considered it “inappropriately light”.

The nonsense short videos feature big celebrities like Bradley Cooper, Jamie Foxx, Sean Penn, Drake, Justin Timberlake and the Old Spice guy (Isaiah Mustafa) doing chores “real men” are supposed to know how to do, but they do not “buy girls” (watch videos below).

The “Real Men” concept is really tragic. I cannot understand what message exactly they are trying to send. The “Real Men” in the videos cannot really do their own laundry, don’t know how to use an iron or a remote control and make a meal.

So what’s that suppose to mean? The men in the videos do buy girls? It certainly looks like that… are Demi and Ashton trying to say Bradley Cooper, Sean Penn and Jamie Foxx NEVER hired the services of adult entertainers (hookers!) to satisfy their sexual fantasies? Seriously!?!

What I’m trying to say is that it’s more than an inappropriate concept, the celeb cast is questionable and unfortunate. Actresses, Eva Longoria and Jessica Biel, also act like “frames” (objects) as they introduce a “real man” at the end of videos.

Matthew Vadum of the Capital Research Center in Washington D.C said: “It’s even more difficult than usual to take celebrities seriously when they put out flippant ads like this. Justin Timberlake shaving with a chainsaw? What exactly is the message here? There is a huge difference between ‘funny’ and foolishness.”

Psychologist Dr. Nancy Irwin said: “The ads are not addressing the issue; they are veering off in another direction in a ‘gender joke’ attempt. With the enormous amount of heart and creativity available in both Moore and Kutcher, it would be preferable and a stronger message for the public to present male models of healthy sexuality with respect for women,” Irwin said. “Taking on traditional female activities such as knitting, ironing or cooking does not make a man. The answer to abuse of females is not to make men more like women.”

Kobe Bryant Fined $100K For Gay Slur, Strikes Back

NBA decided to punish LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant for his homophobic slur directed at the ref during last night’s game. Kobe will be forced to pay $100K. NBA Commissioner, David Stern, described the comment as “offensive” and “inexcusable”.

Kobe Bryant Uses Homophobic Slur To Offend Ref (VIDEO)

David Stern said in a statement: “While I’m fully aware that basketball is an emotional game, such a distasteful term should never be tolerated. Accordingly, I have fined Kobe $100,000. Kobe and everyone associated with the NBA know that insensitive or derogatory comments are not acceptable and have no place in our game or society.”

Kobe Bryant Gay Slur Statement, NO Apology!

Tactless. Distasteful. Irresponsible. If you really must offend someone call them an “idiot” or “a$$hole”. That is sociably acceptable. LOL. Anyway, Kobe just announced he will be appealing NBA’s decision as “standard protocol”.

Just shut up and take it like a man! Kobe said, “The concern that I have is for those that follow what I say … look to me as a role model .. for them not to take what was said as a message of hate or a license to degrade … or to embarrass or tease … because that’s something I don’t wanna see have happen.”

Kobe tells YOU: “It’s OK to be who you are.”
