American Idol fan Ashley Kauffman claims she was banished from her front row seat for being “too big and too heavy” during the American Idol live show last week. The 19 year-old said she and other two friends were forced to sit five rows behind their “skinny” friends in the front row.

Outrageous! Ashley decided to tell her real story because she was really hurt by the way she was handled by Idol people and doesn’t want the same thing to happen to anyone else. The girl had the chance to do that in an interview on Good Morning America this morning.

American Idol denies such claims. Freemantle’s Manfred Westphal said Ashley was in a group of 6 people, who were told they had to be separated in 2 groups of three. They agreed and everyone got good seats (not front row seats!).

“Our audience coordinator explained they had 6 great seats on the floor; however, the seats were in 2 groups of 3. Ashley and 2 others in her party were seated 4 rows behind their friends, directly in camera shot, in some of the best seats in the house.”

Idol states, “At ‘American Idol,’ we always strive to assure that every audience member has the best experience possible, and these allegations are simply untrue.”

I believe Ashley is telling the truth. I can even understand the fact the stage manager had to split the group, but why was Ashley and her other 2 friends picked to leave the front row? I can even see them telling Ashley she was “too big” for a front row shot.

LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant has admitted that he did use a homophobic slur when referring to the ref, who had given him a technical foul, during the game on Tuesday night (April 12) - watch video HERE.

Ironically, Kobe doesn’t apologize to the ref or the Lakers’ fans, but simply asked his words to not be taken “literally”. What the heck is that suppose to mean? Poor Kobe didn’t mean to offend anyone and he loves gay people.

The Royal Wedding is just a couple of weeks away! Prince William and his fiancée, Kate Middleton, are nervous about their big day and saying their vows at the Westminster Abbey in a ceremony broadcasted all over the world on April 29.

The 41 year-old actress, who was by her husband’s side while he battled cancer, did not resist the pressure of the last year. Catherine is expected to begin working on her new movie “Playing the Field” with Gerard Butler, Dennis Quaid, Uma Thurman and Jessica Biel this week.

“After dealing with the stress of the past year, Catherine made the decision to check in to a mental health facility for a brief stay to treat her Bipolar II disorder,” the rep says in a statement. “She’s feeling great and looking forward to starting work this week on her two upcoming films.”

Bipolar II Disorder is much more common than what you might think. The disorder is characterized by elevated or irritable moods alternating with periods of depression. Catherine simply sought help to make sure she is the best actress and best mother to Dylan (10) and Carys (7) she can be.

NBA star Kobe Bryant got extremely upset and seemed to use a homophobic slur to offend a NBA referee called Bennie Adams during a Los Angeles Lakers game on Tuesday night (April 12)- watch video below.

The rep gave Kobe a technical foul in the 3rd quarter. The Lakers star was visibly angry when he screamed for the ref, who seemed to ignore him. Then, Kobe appeared to mouth “f**king f**got” as one of the announcers said, “You might wanna take the cameras off of him right now, for the children watching.”

Gay right group, Human Right Campaign, quickly reacted to Kobe’s homophobic outburst and released the following statement:

“What a disgrace for Kobe Bryant to use such horribly offensive and distasteful language, especially when millions of people are watching.”

“Hopefully Mr. Bryant will recognize that as a person with such fame and influence, the use of such language not only offends millions of LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] people around the world, but also perpetuates a culture of discrimination and hate that all of us, most notably Mr. Bryant, should be working to eradicate.”

On “Born This Way”: “It’s a performance-art piece. I have never, ever encouraged my fans or anyone to harm themselves, nor do I romanticize masochism. Body modification is part of the overarching analysis of ‘Born This Way.’ In the video, we use Rico, who is tattooed head to toe [including a skull on his face]. He was born that way. Although he wasn’t born with tattoos, it was his ultimate destiny to become the man he is today.”

On plastic surgery: “I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification. And how many models and actresses do you see on magazine covers who have brand-new faces and have had plastic surgery, while I myself have never had any plastic surgery? I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me.”

On being seen as a promoter of plastic surgery? “Trust me, I know that. I think a lot of people love to convolute what everyone else does in order to disempower women. But my fans know me. They would never hurt themselves. And if they have hurt themselves, they come to me and say, ‘Gaga, I want to stop, and your music helps me want to stop. Your music makes me want to love myself.’ I am in no way promoting sadomasochism or masochism.”

On Alexander McQueen’s death: “I think he planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote ‘Born This Way.’ I think he’s up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.” Supporting Gaga’s claim was the decision by the label–not Gaga herself–to move up the release date for “Born This Way,” ultimately to the exact day of the one-year anniversary of McQueen’s death. “When I heard that, I knew he planned the whole damn thing. I didn’t even write the f**king song. He did!”

Jennifer also confessed she kind of likes being called a Diva. She thinks she has earned the title. Oh, yeah! However, JLo, who is the proud mother of twins (Max and Emme), claims she cannot be accused of “diva behavior” and she really enjoys the zero makeup mommy duty.

And what about son Max? “He wants to paint his nails too. Because for him, it’s just paint. He’s like, ‘I want the blue!’” Lopez says, laughing. “Then Marc is like, ‘Why are Max’s nails painted?!’ But he won’t sit still so it’s only like two nails.”

They were photographing us from a boat, and it was the first time I’ve gotten upset, like ‘I can’t just lay out and stuff my face?’ It really messes with you.”

On her body: “Growing up, I could eat anything, but the minute I hit 22, I stopped dancing and kept eating whatever I wanted, and I gained weight. Then I started reading [critical] comments in blogs. That freaks you out and you get caught up in it. But if I deprive myself, I end up binge eating. I didn’t want to do that. Now if I want something, I’ll have it and I won’t feel guilty. Then the next day I won’t crave it.”

On her favorite “Dancing with the Stars” partner: “I hope my partners don’t get mad at this but Apollo is probably my favorite because he was my first partner. You know, it was my first time. I got three tens for the first time, got to do the Pasa Doble for the first time and just experience everything for the first time so [Apollo] was definitely my favorite.”

Actress Scarlett Johansson, who recently divorced her hot hubby Ryan Reynolds, is currently dating actor Sean Penn. The two haven’t confirmed their romantic relationship, but they have been seen publicly together more than Scarlett was ever seen with Ryan. Go figure!

“Scarlett is not pregnant,” the rep says. “She’s outside running and it’s simply the placement of her shirt that is misleading. She’s been training for The Avengers for over four months and is in the best shape of her life.”

Best shape of her life? I would have to disagree… that’s certainly not what the picture is showing. And damn that shirt should be illegal. How can a tight shirt create the illusion of a baby bump like that one? I dunno… I’m sure not going to buy a shirt that looks remotely like that. UGH.
