Director Sidney Lumet sadly passed away after a long battle against lymphoma at his home in Manhattan, New York City on Saturday (April 9). Sidney is survived by his fourth wife, Mary Gimbel, two daughters, nice grandchildren and a great grandson.

The 86 year-old, who was nominated for Best Director five times but never won, directed some classics like “The Verdict”, “Network”, “The Wiz”, “Serpico”, “12 Angry Men”, and “Before the Devil Knows Your Dead”.

Sidney Lumet finally received his honorary Oscar in 2005 at the age of 80 from the hands of actor Al Pacino, who received Oscar nominations for his work in Lumet’s movies (“Serpico” and “Dog Day Afternoon”).

Actress Drea de Matteo and Shooter Jennings became parents for the second time when they welcomed a healthy baby boy named Waylon Albert “Blackjack” Jennings, on Thursday morning (April 7).

The proud daddy took to his Twitter to share the happy baby news. He wrote, “Waylon Albert “Blackjack” Jennings has arrived folks! Thanks for all the kind words folks! We’re super lucky to have so many kind friends!”

Baby Blackjack has a big sister, 3 year-old Alabama Gypsyrose. Shooter and Drea have been together for more than nine years and finally became engaged in June of 2009.

“Perfect Couples” star David Walton and his fiancée, former “Roswell” star Majandra Delfino, have tied the knot in a private ceremony at Trinity Cathedral in Miami last month (March 19)- more pictures below.

The reception held at The Surf Club ballroom was attended by 200 guests, including Majandra’s “Roswell” co-star Katherine Heigl, who was one of the bridesmaid, and her husband Josh Kelley, and, David’s co-star Hayes MacArthur, and his wife, actress Ali Larter.

“We really wanted to embrace all that is Miami by combining old-world Miami with the fresh new scene of art and design,” the newlyweds told PEOPLE. “And of course, we had to embrace that crazy Miami party energy with a party that lasted all night!”

Rapper Gucci Mane (real name Radric Davis) was arrested for assault after he went to check in with his probation officer and found out there was an active warrant for his arrest.

The warrant was related to an incident that happened in January of 2011. Gucci allegedly pushed a woman out of a vehicle back. The 31 year-old rapper was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery.

Gucci was on probation for a 2005 aggravated assault conviction and this could constitute a violation of that probation. He is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Indianapolis Colts star, Peyton Manning, and his wife, Ashley Manning, have welcomed twins, a baby boy named Marshall Williams Manning and baby girl named Mosley Thompson Manning, in Indianapolis, Indiana late last month (on March 31).

The couple wanted to keep their pregnancy and baby news under wraps because they are extremely private, but a family source confirms the news, saying, “It is true, it is happy news for them.”

The 35 year-old NFL star’s brother, Eli Manning, the New York Giants quarterback, and his wife Abby McGrew-Manning, have also welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Ava Frances Manning, on March 21, a few days before Peyton’s twins were born.

MLB star Manny Ramirez has decided to retire immediately instead of facing the 100-game suspension after he tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug during spring training.

If Manny, who played for the Tampa Bay Rays, wants to return to baseball, he still has to face the suspension. This is the third time the 38 year-old player tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

Manny was suspended when a urine test showed elevated levels of testosterone in 2009. He had also tested positive in 2003, when the tests were conducted anonymously. And in 2010, he was suspended for 50 games for taking a female fertility drug known to mask steroid abuse.

The Tampa Bay Rays said in a statement: “We are obviously surprised and disappointed by this news. We will have no further comment on this matter, and our fans and organization will carry on.”
