The founding pastor of the famous Times Square Church in New York City, Rev. David Wilkerson, died in a head-on traffic collision on the Neches River Bridge in East Texas on Wednesday afternoon (April 27).

The 79 year-old pastor, who is the author of 1963’s bestseller “The Cross and the Switchblade”, was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and his wife, Gwendolyn Wilkerson, was also injured. Wilkerson is survived by his wife Gwendolyn and four children.

The family released an official statement in World Challenge official website:

Wilkerson grew up in a home “full of Bibles” and Christian music in Barnesboro, Pa. before he began preaching at the age of 14. When Wilkerson moved to New York, he started Teen Challenge, a drug, alcohol and evangelism outreach program. He later moved to Tyler, Texas, where he founded a similar organization called World Challenge.

R.I.P. David Wilkerson.

Black Eyed Peas rapper Taboo (Jaime Gomez), 35, and his wife, Jaymie Dizon, welcomed their second son Tuesday afternoon.

And it will be on sale for £2 per copy at strategic locations like Hyde Park, Green Park, St. James Park and at the Trafalgar Square. All profits from the sale will benefit The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry.

“We are both so delighted that you are able to join us in celebrating what we hope will be one of the happiest days of our lives,” the couple write in their official wedding program, released Thursday. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone most sincerely for their kindness.”

During his recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! comedian Martin Short unapologetically plugged his current “passion project”, which he wrote, directed and starred in himself.

The 3:30 mock-trailer, in which Short plays all six Jersey Shore characters is frighteningly spot on.  From his six-pack “Situation” to his mile-high Pauly D hair, Short’s…short is nothing…short of hilarious.   And somehow the spoof isn’t any more ridiculous than the real thing.  The “Snooki” character may give birth to a pickle baby fathered by “Vinny“, but that’s nothing worse than what we’ve seen before, right?

By the way, Martin Short is 61 years-old.  If this is his way of shaking his fist at the younger generation – he nailed it.

“Pregnant In Heels” mama, Rosie Pope, proudly introduced her miracle baby boy, 10 week-old Wellington Reed, to Life & Style Magazine after her and her husband Daron Pope‘s struggle to get pregnant for the second time.

The 31 year-old, who was already a mother to 2½ year-old J.R., told Life & Style exclusively, “I feel like the luckiest person in the universe to have this baby sitting in front of me. He just feels really special to me.”

Rosie revealed she thought they wouldn’t be able to have a baby since she suffered from secondary infertility and had an ectopic pregnancy that forced her to remove one of her fallopian tubes. A miracle happened – Rosie and Daron got pregnant naturally.

“We don’t know why, but for some reason my body spontaneously released an egg,” Rosie says. The couple was meant to have that baby, so it was just happened. “You just have to keep going,” the mama said. “Miracles really do happen.”

The Pregnant In Heels star hopes to inspire couples struggling with infertility issues. Rosie tweeted, “So glad I can share my joy with you all and hope I can continue to inspire.”

The South might be ignored during crisis and when disaster strikes, but we always help each other out to rebuild and rise from the ashes, bigger and stronger than before.

Survivor star, Rob Mariano aka Boston Rob, who also participated with his wife Amber Joy Mariano on “The Amazing Race”, and monster truck driver, Dennis Anderson, are getting their own reality show titled “Around The World In 80 Ways” on History.

Rob and Dennis will face different challenges. They will have to circumnavigate the globe using 80 different methods of transportation – from planes and boats to blimps and camels. Each cannot repeat the same method of transportation.

“I think The Amazing Race gave me a foundation for traveling,” Mariano tells PEOPLE. “However, the approach that we are taking in Around the World in 80 Ways is completely different from anything I’ve done before in that this show will be a celebration of transportation throughout history.”

Boston Rob will be able to start filming the new reality show right after the big finale of “Survivor: Redemption Island” on May 14, while his wife Amber stays home to take care of their daughters, 21 month-old Lucia Rose and 4 month-old Carina Rose.

“Being away from my family is always the toughest part about doing these shows,” Mariano says. “Luckily, I have a wonderful wife that understands my thirst for adventure and consistently supports me in my quests.”
