Sean Kingston was taken to the hospital after being seriously injured in a jet skiing accident in Miami Beach, Florida on Sunday evening (May 29). The 21 year-old hip hop star and a female passenger were on board of his watercraft when it crashed into a bridge around 6 pm.

The two were rescued by someone at the scene before the Miami Fire Dept. transported them to the Jackson Memorial Hospital. Sean is in a pretty bad shape and is currently being treated in the trauma ward.

Sean Kingston’s rep told TMZ in a statement: “Sean Kingston was in an accident today. No further details are available at the moment. He and his family thank everyone for the well-wishes.” Sean’s record label, Epic Records, confirmed that he was now stabilized on Monday (May 30).

The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the frightening jet ski crash, but they do not believe alcohol played a role in this tragic accident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Sean and his family. Stay strong!
