“Jersey Shore” star Nicole Polizzi aka Snooki, who is currently filming the fourth season of MTV’s controversial reality show, was behind the wheel and promptly taken into custody after she crashed into a police car in Florence, Italy on Monday (May 30)- pictures below.

Poor Snooki was riding with fellow Jersey Shore star, Jennifer Farley aka JWoww, when she hit the back of the patrol car, wedging her ride between the car and a highway protection wall. The passenger’s door was reportedly blocked, so JWoww had to climb through the window to get out of the vehicle.

No one was injured in the accident. Snooki was not formally arrested and the production claims there was NO alcohol involved, which is hard to believe since Snooki is rumored to be falling off the wagon since the Jersey Shore cast moved to Italy.

UPDATE: The female passenger in the front seat was not JWoww, but Jersey Shore’s new addition Deena Nicole Cortese.
