The Oprah Winfrey Show Big Finale Exclusive Details

Talk show queen Oprah Winfrey just filmed the epic star-studded last episodes of The Oprah Winfrey Show after 25 seasons since the first episode on September 8, 1986. Oprah’s big finale airs on Wednesday (May 25), but we have some exclusive details of the special guests, performances and apotheosis.

According to Bumpshack’s source, the Oprah finale, which was filmed at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois last week, is actually divided into two episodes hosted by the one and only Tom Hanks. Actor Tom Cruise led the pack of many special celebrity guests basically just praising Oprah’s work for the past 25 years.

Patti LaBelle and Josh Groban sang a duet of the song “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, the classic ballad from “The Wizard Of Oz” sung by Judy Garland. This musical moment was followed by Madonna’s appearance. The Queen Of Pop talked about the importance of Oprah’s work with the girls’ school (Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls) in South Africa.

Beyonce took over the stage to perform her latest hit “Run The World (Girls) – and she had to perform it TWICE due to technical difficulties. Other special guests, Katie Holmes, Halle Berry and Queen Latifah, also came to say just how fabulous they think Oprah really is. This must have been quite an ego trip for Oprah.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld also entertained the audience with a stand-up segment. Rascal Flatts closed the first episode of the big finale with a special performance and, of course, Oprah got emotional. Tom Hanks was joined by co-hosts, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, for the second part of Oprah’s big finale.

Jada called Oprah a “mother to millions” for all she has done for people during all these years, which was followed by testimonies of girls sharing their stories and explaining how Oprah “saved” them. Very melodramatic.

Next was Jamie Foxx who started talking nonsense about “how he wanted to bend Oprah over and was surprised Steadman hasn’t “kicked his ass” because of their attraction.” No kidding! Jamie started to sing “Isn’t She Lovely” as Stevie Wonder joins the party.

Stevie also sang a new song he has been working on and dedicated it to the talk show queen. Simon Cowell continued with a speech about how “honest” he and O always were with each other. Romance? Attraction? And now honesty? Creepy, weird and inappropriate – all in the name of entertainment!

Rosie O’Donnell surprised the audience and Oprah with a Broadway-esque performance. Maria Shriver, whose estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger just publicly admitted to have had a love child more than a decade ago, and Gayle King joined Oprah for more images of how the show changed the life of many people.

Oprah’s favorite author/poet, Maya Angelou, read a poem while singer Alicia Keys played the piano. Oprah cries! Alicia sang “Superwoman” before Aretha Franklin performed a gospel version of her song “Amazing Grace” and Usher finally closed the show with a rendition of “Oh Happy Day”.

This is it! RIP Oprah Winfrey Show.

On the SNL stage, GaGa appeared with a fake baby bump to give birth to glitter in another out of this world performance to attempt to shock the audience. We can expect anything and everything from GaGa, so the fake birth was absolutely appropriate for the venue.

Justin Timberlake was guest host of the glorious Saturday Night Live season finale with musical guest Lady GaGa on Saturday (May 21)- watch videos below. The singer turned actor did a pretty good job – he had the opportunity to sing a little song about not singing, play with Lady GaGa and reunite with Andy Samberg for a digital short sketch.

Justin, who performed the double-duty as host and musical guest in the past, promised to not sing, which eventually happened during his opening monologue. Then he went against the GaGa in a celebrity edition of “What’s That Name?” to win money for their charities of choice. GaGa won, of course!

The dynamic duo, Justin and GaGa, was the big highlight of the show, which reached the climax in a “threesome” with Andy Samberg in the digital short “3-Way”. This was probably one of the most memorable SNL season finales ever.

Brad Pitt Movie ‘The Tree of Life’ Wins Top Award At Cannes Film Festival

Sunday, the top prize at the 64th Cannes Film Festival was awarded to Terrence Mallick‘s The Tree of Life, starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.

Kirsten Dunst & Alexander Skarsgard “Melancholia” Trailer (VIDEO)

Jury president Robert De Niro announced the news, though Mallick, who is said to be a quite the recluse, was not there to accept his Palme d’Or (Golden Palm). Other members of the Cannes jury included Uma Thurman and Jude Law.

Actress Kirsten Dunst took the award for Best Actress for the film Melancholia, directed by the ever-so-controversial Lars Von Trier. French actor Jean Dujardin was awarded best actor for a silent, black-and-white comedy, The Artist, which will be seen in the U.S. later this year.

I’m so glad that the ridiculous trailer for Tree of Life ended up being a good movie. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest (only if you’re sober) that you go YouTube it. Congrats, Brad!

‘You Light Up My Life’ Songwriter Joseph Brooks Found Dead Of Suicide

Oscar-winning songwriter Joseph Brooks, who most famously penned the song You Light Up My Life, was found dead of an apparent suicide Saturday in his New York City apartment. The 73-year-old writer had plead not guilty to sexual abuse and other charges in 2009 and was currently awaiting trial.

A police spokesperson said a friend found Brooks around 12:30 p.m. with a “plastic dry-cleaning bag around his head and a towel wrapped around his neck.” A helium tank was also found nearby with a tube connecting it with the bag. The friend, whose name was not released, went to meet Brooks at his Upper East Side apartment because they had planned a lunch together.

His son Nicholas is also awaiting trial, after he was arrested last year on murder charges in the death of 33-year-old Sylvie Cachay, a swimwear designer he was dating until they broke up not long before the incident.

Brooks himself was charged with 82 counts of sexual assault. He allegedly solicited ”auditions” from wannabe actresses on the internet, doped victims with date-rape drugs and then assaulted them.

A suicide note was found at the scene but the content has not been revealed.

Creepy.

Details of the birth have not been revealed, as Lilly is notoriously private. We do know that she met her boyfriend on the set of Lost, which catapulted Lilly to fame. She recently spoke about being eager to move on from the show:

“People are excited to try on the next chapter of their lives. This show is all-encompassing. We have had very little experience outside of the show during the last six years because it’s just so demanding; it requires so much of us. So, it’s exciting to have your freedom back, essentially.”

Lilly famously dated Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan from 2004-2009.

Charlie Sheen – A $3,000,000 Sugar Daddy

Former Two and a Half Men star and all-around nice guyCharlie Sheen, has been approached by EstablishedMen.com to represent their website. Established Men is a social networking site,

“connecting ambitious and attractive girls with successful and generous benefactors to fulfill their lifestyle needs”.

Sounds just up Charlie’s alley.

The offer on the table is for $300,000,000, for three years of being EM’s – wait for it - Sugar Daddy President.  If Sheen accepts the offer, he would be forced to relocated to Toronto and work exclusively for EM.

Not only would Sheen act as EM’s spokesman and president, he would be responsible for running advertising, sales, and promotions.  Sounds like a heavy workload for a guy who can’t even keep his “Goddesses” in check.

Russell Brand Kicked Out of Japan

While in Japan supporting his wifey, Katy Perry, on the Asain leg of her  Teenage Dream tour, Russell Brand was asked to leave the country over “priors from 10 years ago”.

Understandably, the pop star was upset over her romantic weekend getaway with her hubby being ruined, tweeting,

So… my husband just got deported from Japan.  I am so. sad.  I brought him all this way to show my favorite place. #tokyodreamscrushed

Russell seemed to take a lighter stance on the issue.  The funny man tweeted, ”Planning escape from Japanese custody. It’s bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick.”

I hear ya Russell; I’m always embarrassed to ask for a fork, too.

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Suing Father

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is suing his father, Frank Sorrentino, for illegally using his name and likeness on his website, TheConfrontaionSite.com.  Situation Sr. was served with the legal papers yesterday, while volunteering at a local charity carnival in Delray Beach, FL.

Something about that sentence doesn’t sound right…

Frank Sorrentino has been speaking out against his son, who he lovingly calls “a little f*ck”, before he goes into his on-camera rant,

You’re full of sh*t… I’m telling you you’re full of sh*t. I know you. I stood up for you. I put my f*cking balls on the line for you a hundred f*cking times…I ask you one f*cking favor and you tell me to go f*cking be like a regular f*cking Joe Blow and go on welfare?  No, my friend, I don’t do that.  I love my son, but he broke my heart…So sit back. I’m going to tell you about the Situation.

TheConfrontationsite.com has been removed from the web, pending further investigation.

Let’s hope it stays that way.

Jersey Shore Still Living it Up in Florence

The Jersey Shore gang continues to live it up Jersey-style in Florence this week, hitting nightclubs and hobnobbing with the locals.  Snooki, JWOOW, Sammi and Deena were spotted at the Central Park Club, chatting and dancing the night away with a few Florentine men.  Despite the fact that Florentine Mayor Matteo Renzi, was very clear about his demand that the cast not being filmed while drinking during their stay, the girls seemed to be surrounded by adult beverages during the evening’s events.

Was Renzi really serious about this one?  Jersey Shore without alcohol is like Christmas without Santa Claus, Old McDonald without his farm, Lindsay without her alcohol monitoring bracelet!

While their hands may be tied from lifting red Solo cups to their lips, the Shore-ers are still enjoying their time in Florence.  Snooki spoke out about her new found love affair with Italia,

It’s a fantastic place… A bit like New York. Great buildings and great wine. I love it here.

Great buildings, huh?  Michelangelo would be so proud.
