The 32 year-old daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton, Amanda Brumfield, was found guilty of aggravated infant manslaughter, and innocent of first-degree murder and child abuse, for the death of 1 year-old Olivia Madison Garcia back in October of 2008.

Amanda was babysitting Olivia, one of her friends’ daughters, when she reportedly fell while trying to climb out of her playpen. The prosecutors argued the injuries (three and a half inch fracture and bleeding and swelling of the brain) that led to the child’s death were too severe to have been cause by a simply minor fall.

Unfortunately, we might never really know what truly happened to that little girl. Amanda, whose mother Melissa Lee Gatlin is the actor’s first wife, is set to be sentenced next month (July 2011).
