In a statement, the very funny Lynch said:
“I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on Fox. I’m looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.”

The executive producer, Mark Burnett, told reporters Lynch, 50, was at the top of his list when it came to choosing this year’s host:
“Jane was my first — and only — choice as the host for this year’s Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said ‘yes.’ She has incredible comedic timing, and is a charismatic, talented actress whose energy leaps off the screen and stage. I am thrilled and excited to have her as our host.”
Lynch will only be the third woman to ever host the award show; the first was Angela Lansbury in 1993, followed by Ellen DeGeneres in 2005. Nominations for the show will be announced on July 14.

Not gonna lie, I’m usually bored halfway through the Emmy’s. This year, I know I’ll be glued to television set. Nice choice, FOX.
