According to MTV, the fourth season of Jersey Shore, will premiere August 4 at 10 p.m.  Can you wait that long?

In an interview with US Weekly, MTV execs raved about the upcoming season,

This summer will be hotter than ever when America’s favorite roommates head overseas to learn all about the culture they love and live by in the birthplace where it all began… As they navigate a new country, they will bring their trademark hilarity, fist-pumping and family dysfunction to ‘the beautiful country.’

While the Shorers may be navigating a new country, they will certainly be doing so without Snooki’s help!  The tiny Guidette has had her license revoked by the Italian government following her recent car crash, which injured several other motorists.

Although, ‘trademark hilarity, fist-pumping and family dysfunction’ may make for a rip-roaring good time in reality TV land, they certainly haven’t worked in the cast’s favor when trying to win over the local media.  Rome’s New Notzie recently printed that, [The Jersey Shore cast] embodies the worst stereotypes of Italians, multiplied by thousands and Americanized.”

That might be the best summation of the show I’ve heard yet!  Salud!
