The “Jackass” star, Ryan Dunn, and his passenger, who was identified as a friend named Zachary Hartwell, both died very violent and painful deaths as a result of blunt force trauma and the fire during the fatal car crash on Monday (June 20).
The Chester County Coroner’s Office released the official autopsy results, which reveal both Ryan and Zachary were dead before the officials arrived at the scene. The crash was extremely violent, so it’s impossible to determined if they died from impacted or the fire that consumed the Porsche afterward.
The authorities are currently investigating the causes of the accident. They believe speed was an important factor in the accident. The toxicology results, which will be released in four to six weeks, will help determine if alcohol was also a factor.
As we previously report, Ryan and Zachary were photographed having fun and drinking at a bar before the fatal accident. The 34 year-old Jackass reportedly offered to give his friend a ride home, but he had planned to return to the bar that same night.
