Jackass star, Ryan Dunn, who tragically died in a car crash in Philadephia yesterday, recreated famous stunts from TV shows, movies and videos for a show called “Proving Ground†on G4 Network. For now, G4 released a statement on the death of their star and announced they decided to stop airing the show.
G4 released a statement saying, “All of us at G4 are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic news that Ryan Dunn has passed away. Ryan’s comedic wit and signature no-holds-barred approach made him an incredible talent and his work on G4’s ‘Proving Ground’ was flawless.”
“The show will not be airing for now and discussions are underway re future plans.”
Ironically, “Proving Ground†had just premiered with an unsatisfying number of viewers (31,000) on Tuesday (June 14). The 34 year-old Jackass had already shot about eight episodes of the show, but it will most probably be canceled for good after his unexpected death.
In Ryan’s honor, I say the show must go on! R.I.P. Ryan Dunn.
