Socialite Paris Hilton confirmed that she and her boyfriend Cy Waits broke up after dating for more than a year in an interview with George Lopez on Lopez Tonight on Tuesday (June 21)- watch video below.

Cy was a bit of trouble, but he seemed to be the perfect guy for Paris, who reportedly still loves him very much. Then, why did they break up? Paris told Lopez, “I love him, and we remain really good friends … I just feel like the relationship ran its’ course.”

Paris and Cy started dating right after she dumped her ex-boyfriend, “The Hills” star Doug Reinhardt. A source said, “[Cy's] found it difficult to live his life with her in the spotlight and that’s what caused their split. No drama, it’s amicable, but things didn’t work out.”

George Lopez showed a clip of Cy and Paris arguing at a club. It ended with her giving him a big slap for acting like a jerk. The scene was captured on camera for Paris’s new Oxygen show “The World According To Paris”.
