Comedians Kristen Wiig and Russell Brand are the winners of PETA’s annual contest of the sexiest vegetarian celebrities. The two beat out other vegetarian celebs like Natalie Portman, Joaquin Phoenix, Anne Hathaway and Olivia Wilde.

Brand, 36, who is married to pop star Katy Perry, has been a vegetarian since he was 14. While visiting Live! With Regis and Kelly, the funny man was asked by Kelly Ripa if he takes fish oil to stay sharp. He responded,”I’m vegetarian. I think it’s cruel to squeeze oil out of a fish… Cause they’re lovely little guys, aren’t they?” Adding, “You shouldn’t eat animals; it’s mean to them!”

Bridesmaids star Wiig, 37, credits her vegetarian lifestyle for keeping her hot bod. In a recent interview with Women’s Health, she said she stays fit by running, doing yoga and because, “I’m a vegetarian. I eat a lot of tofu and soy.”
