Jonathan Rhys Meyers Attempts To Commit Suicide
“The Tudors” star, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who plays Henry VII on the show, was taken against his will to the hospital after he was found slumped on the floor at his home in Maida Vale, Central London on Tuesday (June 28).
The 33 year-old actor allegedly took several pills in an attempt to commit suicide. When paramedics arrived Jonathan refused treatment. Cops were called and the actor was forced to go to the hospital.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said in a statement: “We can confirm we were called by the London Ambulance Service to an address in NW8 to report to a man refusing treatment. Police attended, and the man was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. That was the end of our involvement.”
Jonathan has been battling an alcohol addiction for years now. Last month, he had checked himself into rehab to seek help for his problem for the fifth time. The actor was released from the hospital on Wednesday morning, but he refused to comment and did not reveal what exactly had happened the day before.
People do stupid things when they are desperate. We wish Jonathan a quick and full recovery. Hopefully, he can finally get rid of his demons somehow. Stay strong, Jonathan!
