Rapper Tone Loc (real name Anthony Smith) was arrested for felony domestic violence after a physical altercation with his baby’s mama at an apartment complex in Burbank, California on Saturday afternoon (June 18).

The 45 year-old rapper, best known for hits like “Funky Cold Medina” and “Wild Thing” back in the 1980’s, was taken into custody and booked at around 2:45 pm. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

According to an MSNBC report, watching dumb television shows, like MTV’s Jersey Shore, might actually be making Americans dumb – well, dumb-er.

In a study conducted by Austria’s University of Linz, 81 subjects were given either a short narrative to read about a foolish soccer hooligan and his day of drunken misadventures or a version of the same story with a slightly more boring plot line – sans any alcohol-induced exploits.  After reading, the subjects were then asked to answer a series of multiple choice questions and the results were, to be honest, not that shocking.

Participants who read a narrative about a stupidly acting soccer hooligan performed worse in the knowledge test than participants who read a narrative about a character with no reference to his intellectual abilities.

So, basically, if your brain is full of Snooki, The Situation and their antics – you just may be doomed to repeat their actions.

Mariah Carey is known for her childish antics, strange behavior and her love of pink. But some are saying that she is taking it too far with her latest ad for her newest fragrance called Lollipop Remix. The bottles have the typical bright colors, along with a butterfly design for the lid. However, it is her photo in the ad that has some people questioning her sanity.

Mariah who tweeted the news of the photo, was excited for the debut.of it. In the photo she is wearing a white tank top with lace trim and sucks on a lollipop. Of course many are saying that for a 41 year old, mother of 2 that this is too young.  Some have even called it a Lolita pose, while others say the photo was taken during the Rainbow phase of her career.

Okay, I am not crazy about her photo-but at least it was mostly clean. Not like some ads I have seen for scents or even music videos. Britney Spears was way more Lolita with her “Baby…One More Time” music video. Or what about the Glee magazine cover issue? Granted, the image is in poor taste-but we have all seen worse and it could be a 10-11 year old image reused. She did just have had babies, I am not sure if she would want any photo shoots recently done or not.

Demi Lovato has not hidden her recent issues, in fact she has been brave about dealing with them in the public. But of course there is a price to pay for something you can and cannot help-which she did pay. Her fame shot down and she has since been working hard on gaining it back! Well, we have some good news from the Demster her self on Twitter.

She just finished filming a music video for her untitled single and later on went to say that she finally feels that she is officially back. She told her fans that she loved them and knew that his past year has been tough for all of them-but she saw herself as officially back after taking 6 months off to regain her footing.

Way to go Demi! I know you can do this and have the staying power needed for it.

Supermodel Maggie Rizer and her husband, Alex Mehran, have confirmed they are expecting their first child, a baby boy, in November. Alex and Mazzie have been married for only less than a year since they tied the knot in a private ceremony in Lake Placid, New York in September of 2010.

The 33 year-old mama-to-be could not be happier with the news, but her dog Bea is a bit upset she is not having a little sister to play with. Maggie announced the good news on her official website – she wrote:

“It’s true! Alex and I couldn’t possibly be more excited! We will be welcoming a baby boy this November! Bea is a little upset as she hoped to be gaining a little sister rather than another brother but…we told her to keep her paws up for the next time around.”

“We’ve been having lots of fun these past few months getting ready for the new arrival and will be sure to let you know how things are with our ever-growing family.” (…) “I’ve also recently learned that the stork does not in fact drop the baby by the door. I guess there are always new things to learn!”

Jersey Shore’s, Jenny “JWoow” Farley, paid a visit to an Italian tattoo shop last week to get some new ink to immortalize her late grandmother.

Because everybody knows,nothing says “I love you, Grandma” like a sweet tat.

The tattoo features a set of hands, folded in prayer, a cross and the letters “RIP OMA”.  The new ink isn’t especially shocking, considering Farley has several other tats, one of which features the initials “OPA”, and is most likely a tribute to her late grandfather.

Surprisingly, two Jersey Shore stars have opted out of inking up their physiques.  Both Snooki and The Situation are tattoo-free.  Sitch’s reasoning?

I’ve never gotten ink because I work so hard on my physique it seems a crime against nature

Sitch goes on to say that if he ever did get a tattoo, it would be of “Jesus with ripped abs” or his “Grandmothers chicken piccata recipe.”

“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy announced he is engaged to his longtime boyfriend, who is rumored to be David Miller, without revealing his identity in an interview for KIIS-FM with Ryan Seacrest on Friday morning (June 17).

Ryan announced, “I’m with a great fellow now who I’ve known for 15 years, just got engaged and I’m very excited about it!” He might have not identified his boyfriend, but their relationship isn’t exactly a secret since David and Ryan were photographed at the 2010 Emmy Awards (picture above).

The 45 year-old also talked about his new show, “The Glee Project”, a competition to find the next Glee star. The winner will get the opportunity to play a part (a seven episode stint) on FOX’s hit show.
