Nicolas Cage’s son might not be a total nutcase after all. Weston Cage’s wife Nikki Williams, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child, admitted that she had drunk the night before the two were arrested for domestic violence over the weekend.

That seems like a pretty good reason for Weston to get angry. Nikki knew she was pregnant and decided to drink anyway, and the two ended up fighting. Weston claims he never touched his wife, and that he was the real victim.

Nic’s son threatened to divorce her, before he forgave Nikki. Weston’s wife claimed that was the only time she drank after finding out she was pregnant and said she and Weston still love each other very much.

Nikki said in a statement: “I did drink the night before the arrest. I suppose my hormones got the best of me. That was the only occasion I consumed alcohol since I found out that I’m pregnant and I really regret my decision to do so.”

As for the altercation, Nikki explains, “Weston and I did get physical with one another and he did not hit me in the face.” She concludes, “We may be passionate, but we are not crazy.”

Weston and Nikki want to save their marriage, and became better persons to welcome their bundle of joy, so they decided to go to rehab together. Nikki said, “We are not pressing charges against each other and we are working through our issues. We love each other very much.” They’re doomed.
