Amy Winehouse‘s death came as a shock to many, but not to her parents. Both have stated before that they knew she slowly killing herself. But they have now released a statement or at least her mother has. Here is what they had to say about her death.

Her mother also said that she saw her daughter 24 hours before her death and that she did not look well. In fact, according to her mother she thought that Amy did not have much longer to live. But she did not think her death would come so quickly. Her father was flying to NYC and found out the news after he landed, which caused him to fly back home. Many are saying she likely died from drugs, but no official cause has been stated yet. However, we all can agree the sad news will likely take her family a very long time to heal over.
