Yesterday, it was reported that former reality star Kristin Cavallari and her fiance, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, had called of their engagement. Now, reports are surfacing that Cutler may have been too controlling toward his bride-to-be.

A friend of Cavallari, who knew the couple socially, claims that Cutler was the one to blame:

“Jay Cutler was beyond controlling and didn’t really like Kristin to go out. When she did go out, he called all the time and demanded to know exactly where she was going and who she was with.”

The source also added:

“He made her choose between him and being friends with a lot of her girlfriends. I’m not surprised it didn’t last.”
