Former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky, who is engaged to marry her boyfriend Roberto Martinez, is currently stuck at home recovering from surgery. The 26 year-old underwent an operation to repair her fractured femur, which she broke while kickboxing a month ago.

Ali wrote, “The surgery went well. They had to drill a few holes in my femur to simulate bone re-growth, and they had to cut out a piece of cartilage in my knee that wasn’t healing properly and creating issues when I walked.”

“It’s painful, but the medication is helping a lot. I usually don’t like to take medication, so it has been very hard to manage my pain. Although, my doctor told me post-op pain management is important, so I am trying my best.”

Ali is okay and the surgery went well. The Bachelorette decided to give her fans a detailed update to reassure them she is taking good care of herself. Roberto is also taking care of her, and she takes the opportunity to gush about her man, who wants to protect her from the vicious paparazzi at all costs.

“A side story: A photographer was waiting outside of the hospital after my surgery. When Roberto went to bring the car to the post-op front door, Roberto saw him and was very clear that he had to leave. He really wanted to stay, but Roberto was not happy that he wouldn’t give us our privacy after an operation. I was really proud of Roberto for protecting me that way,” she explained.

“I have also been fortunate that other friends and family have gone above and beyond in trying to help me in their own ways as I recover and get back on my feet. Without my asking, people have been there to support me, and it touches my heart to know they care that much.”

How cute? Ali and Roberto are still going strong. They have been together and engaged for a year. The lovebirds recently went to Bora Bora to celebrate their one year engagement, but they haven’t set a date for the wedding yet. There is still hope for the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise.

Casey Anthony was found NOT GUILTY of killing her 2-year old daughter Caylee Anthony on Monday morning in a Florida courtroom.

The verdict angered many that had been keeping up with the story over the past three  years.  It took Casey 31 days to report to police that her daughter was missing.

However, she was found guilty on four counts of providing police with false information.  She will be sentenced on Thursday and could be given four years in prison for the false statements, one year for each count.

Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, was gleaming and giddy after the verdict as he laid into the national media for  what he called the ‘media assassination’ of Casey.

Real Housewives of New York’s, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, is trying her hand, once again, at being a pop star – and once again, she fails…miserably.

This time she drags fellow housewives Jill Zarin and Kelly Killoren Bensimon down with her in a vomit-inducing music video (not that there was that far to drag, but that’s neither here nor there…).

The Countess’s new video for, “Chic C’est la Vie”, features the scantily clad housewives, prancing around casinos, limosines and lavish parties, lip syncing to their hearts’ content.  So basically, it’s just a shortened episode of Real Housewives, set to really bad club music.

According to her majesty, The Countess,

Being in music at this point in my life is like starting over – I’m able to re-create myself… The video’s all about a certain lifestyle – jet-setting, travel and adventure…  It’s about enjoying ourselves as women – and being invited to the party that I’m living.

I’m so glad there’s an artist out there who finally gets me!  I’m always looking for new songs for my jet-setting playlists!

Does this woman really not have an image consultant to tell her she’s coming off like an entitled, self-important  you-know-what with these songs?  Somebody get Bethenny Frankel on the horn!

Teen Mom star, Amber Portwood, may finally making a step in the right direction…but will it be enough?

According to OK Magazine, the troubled 21-year-old has decided to check into a rehab facility for “anger, depression and substance abuse.” for what could be as long as six months.  That means six months without seeing her on again/off again fiance, Gary Shirley, or two-year-old daughter, Leah.

Before leaving for rehab, Amber had a chance to spend a final few minutes with Leah and sources say, the volatile Portwood barely held it together.

She was crying so hard, it was scaring Leah.  She’s going to really miss her baby and she’s scared that she’s never going to get custody back…

I’d be scared too.

Although Amber is agreeing to get help, one has to wonder if the facility she’s checking into is really the best place for her to get her life back in order.  The $1,200 per night “treatment facility” boasts lavish services ranging from dining on meals prepared by Cordon Bleu-trained chefs to daily surfing classes, with a typical day involving only two hours of one-on-one therapy!

Sources say Portwood’s rehab schedule will look something like:

7:30am: Breakfast

9:00am: Yoga

10:30am: Private Therapy

11:30am: Downtime by the pool

12:30pm: Lunch

1:30pm: Hiking, surfing, spa or gym time

3:00pm: Private therapy session with acupuncture or massage

4:00pm: Group therapy

6:00pm: Dinner

7:30pm: Relapse prevention

8:15pm: Presentation by a specialist or movie or game night

10:00pm: Lights out

Sounds more like a vacation than a stint in rehab to me!

They’re baaaaaaack!

The original 16 & Pregnant stars, Amber, Farrah, Maci and Catelynn, are returning for yet another season of the MTV hit reality show and with a new season comes a whole slew of new baby mama drama.

This season of Teen Mom promises to be the craziest yet, what with Amber going to rehab, Farrah geting a boob job, Catelynn and Tyler shacking up and Maci struggling to stay afloat in Nashville – there will be no shortage of that juicy Teen Mom angst!

I’m most looking forward to how Farrah, who last season couldn’t even afford her own apartment, rationalizes spending money on a new rack.  Believe me, I understand that motherhood takes its tole on the female body, but if you’re pinching pennies just to stay afloat, there’s no need to go under the knife just for grins.

This season of Teen Mom premieres on MTV tonight at 10 EST.

A crazy man with a gun shot and killed an officer named Timothy Warren and an unidentified civilian during a nasty domestic dispute at the DoubleTree Hotel downtown at the intersection of Union and Third on Sunday (July 3).

The suspect was either married or had been married to the woman involved in the altercation. The man the suspect killed was a part of the domestic dispute when Officer Warren, who was in the stairwell, preparing to approach the man, was shot in the head.

Officer Warren joined the force in July 2003. He was married and had two children. Warren was rushed to the hospital, but there was nothing they could have done to save him – he was pronounced dead.

“This is a very tragic situation. Any time an officer is … harmed, it’s tragic,” Memphis Mayor A C Wharton said from The Med. “We want the officers and their families to know we understand the harm they face everyday.”

An MPD release sent at 12:45 a.m. Monday reads: “The preliminary investigation revealed officers arrived on the scene, and located one male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officer Warren encountered the suspect and was also shot.”

The suspect was somehow subdued and taken to The Med. Eyewitnesses who had some contact with the suspect said he was white and wore shorts and a plaid shirt. One of the hotel guests, confessed the suspect “seemed off,” “like he was out of it” during their short elevator ride.

Conservative writer Ann Coulter has said her fair share of controversial nonsense, but her latest comments about Princess Diana on The Insider seem to take the cake.

Coulter, speaking on the world’s obsession with the British royal family, criticized the outpouring of emotion that followed Diana’s death in 1997:

Despite her negative feelings toward the late Lady Diana, Coulter did admit that she had been somewhat charmed by Prince William‘s new wife Kate Middleton, who she said “seems like a lovely girl.”

Prince William and his bride Kate Middleton topped off their Canada Day celebration with a pop music concert and dazzling fireworks display at Ottawa’s Parliament Hill.

The first band to take the stage was Great Big Sea, a folk-rock group from Newfoundland. Their performance quickly had William and Kate on their feet, clapping along and encouraging the rest of the VIP section to get on their feet, too. The band ended their 10 minute set by chanting, ”Welcome to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; welcome to Canada.”

The couple was joined by hairdresser James Pryce and seven other members of their entourage, including private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton. They later watched the fireworks show from the Foreign Office, where there was a diplomatic reception being held in their honor.

With rumors of a split with Chelsy Davy floating around, Prince Harry was spotted out with his new “gal pal,” Florence Brundenell-Bruce, at London’s Hard Rock Calling music festival. Harry, 26, and Florence, 25, were spotted hanging out together backstage while The Killers performed live.

Florence, who is called Flee by her friends, has known Harry for more than six years and is, according to some reports, his eighth cousin. She’s wealthy and also descended from British war hero and seventh Earl of Cardigan, James Thomas Brudenell. An eyewitness told reporters:

“Flee is obviously really into him. She was completely doe-eyed [at the concert].”

Harry, along with the Palace, has kept quiet on his new relationship. He and Chelsy Davy never confirmed their split and she has yet to comment on his galavanting.
