Jani Lane’s death shocked the world on Thursday. The hair metal lead singer of Warrant was found dead in his hotel room, and was thought to have died from a drug overdose. However, we will now have to wait to find out the official cause of his death. His autopsy came out as inconclusive, meaning we are now waiting on the toxicology results to come in. Though it is safe to say that when you are seeking toxicology results that usually means a drug overdose in a fancy term.

Jani was reportedly found with vodka bottles and prescription pills. However, those close to him said that he did not abuse drugs and he most likely died from alcohol poisoning. Only time will tell us when the toxicology report does come in. It should be noted that he also had a well-documented history with alcohol abuse.

Jani’s death way reminds us of the death of Alice In Chains lead singer Layne Staley. Both had well documented troubles, yet they also wanted to beat them. Both were also found dead where they were living. It is sad news, but hopefully Jani is now at peace and no longer has to suffer anymore.
