Country star Chely Wright, who just came out of the closet last year, and her girlfriend Lauren Blitzer, tied the knot in a beautiful intimate ceremony held at Lauren’s aunt’s Connecticut home on Saturday (August 20)- more pictures below.

Both Chely and Lauren wore beautiful white wedding gowns for their very unconventional nuptials between a Christian and Jewish, respectively. Therefore, the ceremony was presided over by a reverend and a rabbi.

The 40 year-old singer couldn’t be happier now that she is allowed to be herself. In fact, Chely met the 30 year-old GLBT civil rights activist right after admitting she was gay. Chely finally found her true love. So beautiful!
