Actress Daryl Hannah, also known as an enthusiastic environmentalist, was handcuffed and arrested during an oil pipeline protest just outside the White House in Washington, DC on Tuesday (August 30).

Daryl was not alone. The 50 year-old and several other protesters sitting on the sidewalk were promptly arrested when they ignored the authorities’ request to move… three times!

The actress once said, “Sometimes it’s necessary to sacrifice your freedom for a greater freedom. And we want to be free from the horrible death and destruction that fossil fuels cause, and have a clean energy future.”

Daryl was previously arrested for stopping traffic by blocking a busy street during a protest over mining practices in West Virginia back in 2009 (photos here). Daryl is on a mission.

“Brad thinks I’m going to be a nightmare,” Angie jokes. “I had such a good experience he thinks I’m going to be impatient with directors, which I already am. I get impatient with people working on a film that have their head in their hands like it’s the most complicated thing in the world.”

“I’ve never felt more exposed. My whole career, I’ve hidden behind other people’s words,” Angelina says Cohen of her screenwriting and feature directorial debut. “Now it’s me talking. You feel ridiculous when you get something wrong.”

What prompted a mother of six to write her a script? “I had the flu. I had to be quarantined from the children for two days. I was in the attic of a house in France. I was isolated, pacing. I don’t watch TV and I wasn’t reading anything. So I started writing. I went from the beginning to the end. I didn’t know any other way,” Angie reveals.

When Brad read the script on a trip, he really saw raw talent in his life partner. “He called and said, ‘You know, honey, it’s not that bad.’” Brad is always so supportive. Angelina wanted to see her script come to life, but she didn’t trust anybody else with that job and that’s why she decided it was time to make her directorial debut.

On Brad’s role and support, Angelina says, “He’d come in and say what he liked or what he didn’t understand. Like any woman, I would listen to most of it and fight a few things. He’s been so supportive. But it’s hard to separate the person that loves you from the critic, so I don’t think he’s a fair judge.”

“In the Land Of Blood and Honey” is a love story set during the Bosnian War. The movie was shot by local actors in two versions (English, and Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian language known as BCS) and is set to be released in the US on December 23, 2011.

American Idol alum, Jason Castro, and his wife, Mandy Mayhall-Castro, confirmed they welcomed their first child, a healthy baby girl named Madeline Emilia Castro, on Sunday (August 28).

Jason and Mandy tied the knot in a private ceremony in January of 2010. And the 24 year-old singer/songwriter happily announced he would become a father to a baby girl on his website back in April.

The proud new dad just posted a picture (see above) of his newborn with the caption, “Daddy’s Girl”. How cute? Madeline definitely looks a lot like daddy, except she is kind of bald.

40 is the new 20! Actress Minnie Driver looks absolutely incredible at the age of 41, and she has a hot new boyfriend in her arms. The lucky guy is a 31 year-old model/actor named Matt Felker who played Britney Spears’ love interest in the music video for “Toxic” back in 2004.

“Austin Powers” actor, Joseph Hyungmin Son, who played Dr. Evil’s sidekick “Random Task”, was convicted of torturing a 20 year-old female victim of gang rape more than 20 years ago on Christmas Eve in Huntington Beach, California (back in 1990).

Son and an accomplice reportedly kidnapped the woman, held her at gunpoint, sexually assaulted her with a gun and repeatedly raped her, before letting her go free. They left the woman completely naked with her panties tied around her eyes. This is cruel and brutal. I’ll never be able to understand the nature of evil.

The actor was arrested and charged with several counts of assault after he violated his probation on a vandalism charge back in 2008. 18 years after the brutal assault, DNA linked him to the crime. Son faces 15 years to life in prison. The sentence will be known on September 19.

Actor Chad Michael Murray will be making a triumphant return as he reprises his role as Lucas Scott as a guest star in the big ninth and final season of The CW’s hit show “One Tree Hill” (OTH).

Chad confirmed the news on Twitter. “The secrets out;) Im excited 2 say that “Luke” will b reuniting with the amazing OTH cast, Producers & Crew 4 an ep! This is 4 u great fans,” he tweeted.

The 30 year-old left the series during its sixth season back in 2009. Lucas will return with some baggage (or not!) – his wife Peyton (Hilarie Burton) and their daughter Sawyer – to ultimately support his good friend Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti).

The Dancing With The Stars season 13 pseudo-celebrity cast of 12 new contestants, who will battle on the dance floor for the coveted mirror ball trophy, was officially announced during the “Bachelor Pad 2” on Monday night (August 29). Check cast bios and pictures below.

The celebrity contestants names were leaked a few hours before the official announcement. And as expected there are no big surprises. Actor Ryan O’Neal, whose named was listed in the leak, was replaced by fashion guru Carson Kressley.

Other names like Ron Artest and George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, were more than confirmed after they were caught leaving DWTS rehearsals last week. We cannot wait to see Nancy Grace on the dance floor since she might quickly become this season’s Kate Gosselin.

Larry David, the star of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and his girlfriend Amy Landecker kept a good secret for a little while. But in true Hollywood fashion, a good secret always comes out. It seems that David began dating Landecker before her husband had even served her with divorce papers.

The couple met when Landecker filmed a guest appearance on David’s show in January . They hit it off and were spotted in public together in February, a month before her husband, Jackson Lynch filed for divorce. Fishy, fishy….

Lynch, who was married to Landecker for six years, confirmed that his estranged wife was indeed dating David prior to their divorce filing, but went on to say that the issue is a “private family matter”.

A representative for Landecker denied that David was in any way responsible for the break-up of her marriage.
