Real Housewives of New York stars Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen may be wishy washy about a lot of things, but their friendship with Bethenny Frankel isn’t one of them.

Frankel has been under fire recently regarding allegations that her “all natural” Skinnygirl Margaritas contain carcinogenic ingredients.  To add insult to injury, Whole Foods, a major distributor of the product, has pulled all stock from their shelves and a class action lawsuit has been filed against the Skinnygirl company.

Bummer.

You’d think Frankel’s RHONY castmates would be quick to revel in their former co-star’s misfortune (ahem, Jill Zarin), but in a recent interview during a New York Fashion Week event, McCord spoke out saying she wishes the Skinnygirl creator all the best.

I guess that’s nice, right?

McCord’s husband/leather pants-wearing wannabe pop artist, Simon van Kempen, also chimed in (obviously) telling E! News,

For me, there’s truth in advertising…  If you’re upfront about it, there wouldn’t be scandal. I don’t think she was hiding anything at all, [but] once she sold it off, she lost a little control.

That sounds about right.  We’ve never known Bethenny to keep quiet about anything before – why would she start now?

Simon also dished about whether or not he and Alex would be back for another season of RHONY.

We honestly don’t know… You know as much as we do. We find out when everyone else does. It’s up to Bravo.

As much as I hate to say it, if BRAVO knows what’s good for them, they’ll bring these two bizarre Brooklynites back for another season.
