American Idol’s diva Pia Toscano and her boyfriend, Dancing With The Stars pro Mark Ballas, who is partnered with Kristin Cavallari for the upcoming season, have apparently “mutually” decided to go their separate ways and fully focus on their careers.

The 22 year-old singer and the 25 year-old dancer were first caught on a date right after Pia was shockingly eliminated from the competition back in April. They started a relationship that always looked more like a big publicity stunt for both than anything actually more romantic.

A rep for Pia told E! News, “She’s hard at work on her new album and can’t wait for her fans to hear it. Pia is wrapping up her American Idol tour and her album is expected to be released soon.”
