The 35 year-old looked absolutely fantastic, super elegant and classy as she took the stage to receive the Emmy for Outstanding Leading Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her acclaimed role in “Mildred Pierce” from the hands of fellow British actor, Hugh Laurie.

Kate, an Oscar-winning actress, was clearly ecstatic to win her first Emmy Award (second nomination) and paid tribute to her own mother during her brilliant yet short acceptance speech.

Kate said, “Mildred Pierce was capable of great acts of love as a mother. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you do with your life, you will never stop needing your mom. And I will never stop needing mine, so thanks mom.”
