The twelve new celebrity dancers and their professional dance partners finally took over the dance floor to show their dancing skills for the first time at the Dancing With The Stars season 13 premiere on Monday (September 19). Actor David Arquette and his partner Kym Johnson danced the Viennese Waltz to the sound of “Somebody to Love” by Queen (watch video below).

David has been sober for eight months now and he has the support of his estranged wife, actress Courteney Cox, who was in the audience with their adorable daughter Coco. David was able to give some intensity to his performance. He looked good on that dance floor and was as light on his feet as possible for a first dance.

Len Goodman was very impressed and called him a dancer. Bruno said David was playing the romantic leading man part until the moment he got entangled in the goddess. Yeah, David was a bit lost during part of the routine, but we loved it. Carrie Ann Inaba told him to relax and let go.
