The twelve new celebrity dancers and their professional dance partners finally took over the dance floor to show their dancing skills for the first time at the Dancing With The Stars season 13 premiere on Monday (September 19). Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough danced the Viennese Waltz to the sound of “This Years Love” by David Grey (watch video below).

Ricki is just there to lose weight… oh, and she also dreams about getting her hands on that mirrorball trophy. From what I’ve seen of the competition so far, she is not going anywhere near that trophy. The performance might have been a bit better than mediocre, but she just bored the heck out of me.

Len Goodman told Ricki to work on her foot work. Bruno was glad she was able to really enjoy it, and Carrie Ann Inaba thought she looked like a princess. After J.R. Martinez’s intense and beautiful performance, no one could have pulled it off for me.
