After leaving the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dina Manzo continues to make herself a household name despite walking away from one of the most successful reality TV franchises in history.

“I felt that I protected my private life, my husband and my daughter as much as I could with that show,”  said the 39-year-old party-planner.  ”This is my reality. It’s not following me into my bedroom, or my relationship with my husband.”

Well said.

According to an interview with The Boston Herald, Dina’s new show “Dina’s Party” on HGTV will follow the sassy owner of Design Affair as she plans parties in style.  Tomorrow night’s premiere features all the behind the scenes work that goes into “a Texas-themed bon voyage bash on Staten Island”.

The ex-RHONJ says that she draws from her roots as an interior designer, to help make her parties a success.

I actually was an interior designer for years… Once we finished their house, they wanted me to help them throw a housewarming party. Most people let me be a little more creative when I was throwing the party, rather than decorating the home.

I’m excited for Dina.  I was definitely bummed when she left The Housewives, but I’m happy to see she’s back doing what she loves.  Here’s hoping Grandma Wrinkles makes an appearance!

Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi did a good job of staying out of the spotlight for a little while, but unfortunately, (or fortunately if you’re a celeb gossip hound) the trouble-making blonde bombshell is back at her old tricks again.

Apparently Rossi and he ex-boyfriend Jay Photoglou, have been wrapped up in a lawsuit for some time now and when the RHOOC star failed to appear in court Thursday, the judge issued a bench warrant for her arrest and set bail for $2,500.

According to reports, the judge’s decision was considered fairly lenient. He continued the warrant until September 15th meaning, Little Miss Perfect has until then to get her act together.

If I were this judge, I’d throw this whole ridiculous case out of my courtroom.  Photoglou and Rossi are each suing each other for libel, defamation and slander – or as it’s called in the real world, “trashing your ex after a break up”.  Get over yourselves!

She may be one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood, earning a reported $28 million just last year, but Reese Witherspoon isn’t quiet about the downfalls in her life. In the new issue of Marie Claire, she discusses her first marriage, divorce, and new marriage to Hollywood agent Jim Toth.

On overcoming her fears:

“I used to not ever travel. I’ve gotten over so many phobias. Five years ago, I was terrified to travel. I was scared to leave my kids.” She smiles. “It’s still not the best feeling. But this is an opportunity to turn the spotlight on something that’s important to me.”

On gaining confidence with age:

“I always had a lot of confidence when I was younger, and then I think I got a little nervous in my 20s. But now I feel better. Now I’m in my 30s, totally better. A little more confident again. Not as scared.”

On her divorce from Ryan Phillippe:

“I was hard on myself when I got divorced. And until I got remarried, I don’t think I realized how stressed I was. I feel so much relief. I don’t think I recognized how anxious I was about being a single parent. It was really, really stressful. It’s not easy on anybody. I think Nora Ephron says in one of her books, ‘You know, don’t kid yourself, divorce is really hard on your children. It’s really hard. Children will not be better for it.’I mean, there are extenuating circumstances. I’m sure everybody’s life is different, so I shouldn’t say that. But it’s really traumatic. Now I feel a great sense of relief and an incredible amount of support from my husband.”

On Toth getting along with her children:

“You know, somebody close to me once said, ‘Oh, no man will ever accept your children.’ And I just thought it was the most horrifying thing someone has ever said to me in my entire life. I was determined to find somebody who would make that not true. And I got lucky. I did. I got very lucky, and he’s wonderful. And so wonderful with the children. I’m very blessed.”

It’s official.  The beautiful love story between Butch and April Baltierra is no more.

Not that I would ever root for a marriage to fail, but this one had ‘trainwreck’ written all over it from the start.  Butch and April, otherwise known as the parents of Teen Mom’s Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell (respectively) got together several years ago after they found out their two children were having a child together.

That’s a sentence straight out of a Shakespearian tragedy if I’ve ever heard one.

Apparently, April logged into her Facebook account to announce to her fans that she an Butch were divorcing and made some pretty serious accusations regarding physical abuse.  While some fans speculated that April’s account had been hacked, according to Catelynn’s official Facebook page, that was not the case and the allegations made by her mother were true.

April’s profile was not hacked.. She posted a couple status’s last night about Butch & him hitting her.. She will be on later today to clear everything up for you guys who read them on her profile.. Please keep her in your thoughts as she says they are getting a divorce after this time.. If you have anything negative to say keep it to your selves now is NOT the time!

Poor Catelynn and Tyler.  For their sake, I hope this whole thing blows over quickly and their parents each move on to find a healthier relationship.

Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has earned herself a best selling novel, a top rated TV show and millions of dollars in appearance fees, but none of that can hold a candle to the Princess of Poughkipsee’s latest accomplishment.  Snooks has earned herself 3,000,000 followers on Twitter.

Well, 3,012,301 followers to be exact.  It’s almost enough to make you “unfollow” her.

Almost.

While she may be busy promoting her new slipper, sunglass and perfume lines, the MTV reality star wasn’t too busy to let this colossal milestone sneak by uncelebrated, Tweeting,

WHEWWHEWWWW made it to 3 million followers! LOVE U GUYS!

None of the other Shore stars are even close to Snooki’s level of celebrity.  Pauly D gained his 2,000,000th Twitter follower over the summer, but even his giant hair and winning smile can’t hold a candle to Snook’s rising star.

If all this information makes your head feel like it’s going to exlode, you’re not alone.  Acotr  Rainn Wilson is none too pleased about Snooki continuing to get more and more famous, or what I like to call, ‘The Theory of Snook-ativity”. The Office star took to his Twitter to announce to his 2.5 million followers:

The video above was taken on September 11, 2001 from the International Space Station by Captain Frank Culbertson as the Twin Towers in New York City were being attacked and destroyed by terrorists.

The video shows a pillage of smoke escaping the earth towards the heavens.

Sunday will mark the 10th year since those horrific attacks took place.

Be sure to remember this weekend those that we lost that day when those two towers were tragically destroyed.

Reese Witherspoon was rushed to a Santa Monica, CA hospital early this morning after being struck by a car while out jogging.  According to the law enforcement officials who responded to the scene, the injuries the Water for Elephants actress sustained were very minor and as of 7:40pm this evening, Reese was resting comfortably at home.

The driver of the car was an 84-year-old woman, who failed to see Witherspoon crossing the street and plowed into her like a bull in a china shop.  The woman was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian and released from police custody.

Released?  Are you kidding me?  This woman is a menace!  You mark my words, she will run down a celebrity again.  Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but someday, on her way to the early bird special at Golden Corral, this little old lady with a need for speed will strike again!

As the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 draw near, normies and celebrities alike are talking about what they will to do to remember and honor those who fell victim to the September 11th attacks.

Among the “celebrities” dishing about how he will memorialize 9/11, is none other than Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D DelVecchio.  Pauly D teams up with Lady GaGa, Nas, Fran Dresscher, Julianne Hough and some other guy in a surprisingly serious tribute to the day that changed many of our lives forever.

The video, put together by the 9/11 Tribute Movement, aims to get Americans talking about how their lives were changed as a result of the attacks and asks them to think about how they can make a small difference in the lives of those who were most deeply affected.

What you will do this year, a good deed, charitable activity, or other plans, to honor the 9/11 victims, survivors and those that rose in service in response to the attacks.

And what’s Pauly D doing to give back?  The Rhode Island native says that he’s “going to call all [his] family members on that day.”

What a giver.

While appearing on the ever-so-controversial Howard Stern 101 Sirius XM Radio show, former American Idol judge Simon Cowell revealed to the host that he had a ”bizarre kind of blind date” with Charlie Sheen‘s ex-wife Denise Richards a few years ago.

Cowell, 51, said he and Richards, 40, were set up by mutual friends to meet at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills. “She’s cute,” he said.

So where’s the catch? ”She turned up 8 months pregnant and had a dog in her handbag.” Yikes. Richards gave birth to two daughters with Sheen: Sam, 7, and Lola, 6. She recently adopted her infant daughter Eloise Joni over the summer. Cowell admitted seeing Richards pregnant was “a real turnoff.”

“A little bit,” Cowell confessed. “But she is gorgeous. I liked her a lot, I think she’s cute, funny, a bit of a wacko…but I like that.”

The two are now just friends. Cowell is currently engaged to makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy. But hey! Thanks for fillin’ us in on a good story.

The controversial season premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aired Monday night, and despite citing cast member Russell Armstrong’s recent suicide as a reason to scrap the reality hit’s second season, viewers turned out in record numbers.

Well, maybe not record numbers, but just like rubber-neckers on the freeway, the RHOBH faithful showed up, eager to be a part of whatever wreckage BRAVO was willing to share.

But, as it turns out, what BRAVO was willing to share was – well, not much.  The episode’s most “poignant” moment came during a meeting at Housewife Adrienne Maloof’s mansion, when housewives Lisa Vanderpump, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, and Camille Grammer, spoke about how they each shouldn’t feel any responsibility for Armstrong’s death.

Now, I’m no cold-hearted cynic (or am I?), but I’m not sure the most appropriate thing to do after someone takes his own life is sit around, in front of a TV crew, and talk about how it’s not your fault.  But time and time again, each cast member passed the proverbial buck of blame back to Taylor, claiming that they wouldn’t have behaved the way they did, if not for the information she had shared with them regarding their abusive marriage.

Makes sense, but isn’t this something you all could’ve discussed privately?  These women (and their lapdog husbands) are acting like the kids at preschool, who didn’t call the little boy fat, but all pointed and laughed anyway.

On her Harper’s Bazaar cover look: “Don’t you think that what’s on the cover of a magazine is quite artificial? There’s this idea that it’s all natural, but everything’s been staged to look natural. It is also an invention. It’s just that my inventions are different. I often get asked about my artifice, but isn’t fashion based on the idea that we can create a fantasy?”

On confidence and body image: “I’m very free-spirited. Even when I was a kid, I used to run around naked with the babysitter, driving her crazy. I do yoga, I do Bikram and I run, and I eat really healthy. You know, my work sort of feeds me. I keep in shape by working hard.”

On being a workaholic: “I work about 16 to 20 hours a day. And when I’m alone, I write, I imagine, I create things, and I decide how I want to do my future performances. I don’t take much time off.”

On her alone time: “When you’re alone as much as I am, you become accustomed to your solitude and embrace it. I love John Patrick Shanley. And I’ve been reading some books that I loved when I was in theater school, like Bertolt Brecht. Those books really changed my life.”

Newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries had the opportunity to enjoy a short honeymoon inside a Romeo and Juliet chalet at the Hotel Santa Caterina ($3,300 per night) right after the big wedding and before getting back to work in New York (see more honeymoon pictures below).
