Thursday, the third day of trial in Dr. Conrad Murray‘s involuntary manslaughter case, a witness testified that Michael Jackson‘s daughter, Paris, witnessed her father’s death.

Alberto Alvarez, a member of Jackson’s security team at his home, testified that while Dr. Murray tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate Jackson, his daughter screamed for him. ”Paris screamed out, ‘Daddy!’ ” Alvarez said. ”She was crying.”

Alvarez saw Jackson lying with his palms up, his eyes slightly open and his mouth agape. As Dr. Murray gave him chest compressions, he yelled, ”Don’t let them see their dad like this.”

Prince and Paris were crying when Alvarez said,”‘Kids, don’t worry, we’ll take care of it. Everything’s going to be okay.’ Then I asked Dr. Murray what happened and he said, ‘He had a bad reaction.’ ”

Later in the day, Kai Chase, Jackson’s personal chef, testified about the children’s response, too. ”The children were crying and screaming and the next thing we did was we started hugging, we held hands and we stared praying,” Chase testified. “We didn’t know what was going on but the energy in this house did not feel good,” she said.

All of this is terribly sad. I’ve been watching the trial daily and it’s so hard to see those testifying try and keep it together.

Thursday, the family of Nelson Mandela announced his grandchildren will star in their own reality show, set to air in 2012.

Swati Dlamini, granddaughter of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, told reporters:

“The show will be about our lives as young, black women … We’re not wearing ‘I’m a Mandela’ T-shirts.”

Her cousin Dorothy Adjoa Amuah, who is the granddaughter of the late Evelyn Mandela, added:

“We are exposing Africa for what it is … with a new middle class of intellectuals … contributing to the economy.”

Dlamini and her older sister Zaziwe Dlamini-Manaway, along with Amuah, said they hope the show will portray their lives as mothers and business women. Amuah added:

“We’re definitely not the African Kardashians.”

The show will feature the three women, who all currently live in South Africa, and their cousins.

Actress Scarlett Johansson broke the silence to reveal she felt violated as very personal pictures of herself completely naked were stolen by a hacker and leaked all over the internet earlier this month (watch video below).

The 26 year-old believes fame is a double-edged sword, but she is still entitled to her privacy. The actress’ legal team immediately acted, sending “cease and desist” letters to several websites in an effort to make the private pictures disappear, which is virtually impossible.

Scarlett said in a recent interview, “Just because you’re an actor or make films or whatever doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to your own personal privacy. If that is sieged in some way, it feels unjust. It feels wrong.”

“It’s an adjustment,” she admitted. “But I think there are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and finally you have to kind of put your foot down and say, ‘Oh wait, I’m taking it back.’”

Scarlett also allegedly called the FBI. There is an ongoing investigation regarding the leak of various celebrity photos stolen by a hackers ring targeting the hottest celebs in Hollywood.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jersey Shore’s Deena Cortese got down and dirty with The Office’s Ed Helms and it was everything an awkward, live television moment should be – and more.

Helms was a good sport, but appeared politely appalled at Deenas “gyrations” – and that’s coming from a guy who’s spent a substantial amount of time with Zach Galifianakis in his underwear.

Reality star Holly Madison, who currently stars in the Las Vegas variety show Peepshow, has confirmed that she took out a $1 million insurance policy on her famous breasts with Lloyd’s of London insurance company.

Madison told reporters that she insured her assets to protect herself and her co-stars:

“I’ve heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not?, because if anything happened to my boobs, I’d be out for a few months and I’d probably be out a million dollars. I thought I’d cover my assets.”

The former girlfriend of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner appears topless throughout the Vegas show, which she believes made the insurance necessary:

“I think it’s kind of funny. I think they’re getting the credit they deserve. They’re my primary money makers right now.”

Current Dancing with the Stars contestant David Arquette admitted on the Howard Stern Show that he’s dating Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis‘s ex-girlfriend Christina McLarty.

Arquette and McLarty were first linked backed in July when they were spotted at Comic-Con together.

Thursday, Prince William and his new wife the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, attended the opening of the Oak Centre for Children and Young People at The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey.

The newlyweds were greeted by spectators, hospital staff, donors and fundraisers. ”There was excitement amongst the children before the royal arrival,” one source said. ”One boy dressed up in an English soccer shirt to surprise William.”

The center serves more than 5,000 patients a year, and is one of the largest center for children in Europe. Upon her arrival, Kate was given a bouquet by 12-year-old Alice Marples, who has been fighting a brain tumor for eight years.

William, ever the trooper, didn’t get any sleep before his appearance because he was ”on-call Wednesday night at RAF Valley and had two call outs.” ”He only finished at 10 a.m. Thursday and quickly got changed before he was flown over straight from the base to Surrey,” said the source.

Kate stayed in London and arrived at the event with the Palace staff. When she heard about her husband’s night, she ”gently patted him on the back.”

Prince William became the President of The Royal Marsden Hospital in May 2007, a position formerly held by his mother, Princess Diana.

Wednesday, the CBS studio where Dancing With the Stars is filmed received a letter with an unknown white powdery substance inside. This is the second letter of the type sent to the studio in the past two months.

Last month, a similar letter with an unknown substance inside, was addressed to Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson. Like the DWTS letter, the substance inside was deemed harmless by the Los Angeles Police Department’s hazardous materials unit.

Ferguson later joked about the letter on his Twitter. ”Finally some office drama that isn’t about Craig’s hair! FYI: The hair is hot. Anthrax scare, not so much,” he Tweeted.
