Will Smith‘s Overbrook Entertainment and Queen Latifah‘s Flavor Unit announced Monday that they will be partnering with Sony Pictures Television to produce a daytime talk show that Latifah is set to host.

Flavor Unit co-founder, Shakim Compere said, ”We share a common vision and have been wanting to collaborate for quite some time.” Overbrook’s Miguel Melendez added, ”We have known and admired Latifah for over 20 years: dating back to our music days, to her first television role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and years alter when she worked with Jada[Pinkett Smith] on the film Set it Off.”

This isn’t a first for Latifah, who hosted the Queen Latifah Show, which ran for two seasons in 1999.

The new untitled talk show will air in 2013.

This morning, upon hearing the news, E! released a statement:

“The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.”

Kim and Kourtney Take New York and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami have both wrapped for the season, with New York set to premiere on Nov. 27, which has the network up in arms because the split wasn’t filmed.
