According to reports, new Real Housewives of New York star Aviva Drescher has a 50% less chance of putting her foot in her mouth than the typical housewife.

Mostly because, she only has one – foot that is.

Apparently, Drescher lost her left foot in a barn-cleaning machine’s conveyor belt when she was just six- years-old, after rescue workers spent “three hours sawing free my mangled, manure-ridden leg…”

Although Drescher had an additional 6″ removed from her leg in order to be fitted for a more “life-like” prosthetic in 1997, she has never let her handicap define her.

Being an amputee was not, and has never been, a dominating factor in my life…

Yet somehow, I bet it will make its way into casual conversation on the upcoming season of RHONY.
