TV host/reality star Giuliana Rancic, who has been trying to get pregnant, revealed she has breast cancer, which was diagnosed after a mammogram suggested by her fertility doctor before another round of in-intro fertilization, on The Today Show on Monday (October 17)- watch video below.

The 36 year-old and her husband have been through a couple of rounds of IVF, which have failed or resulted in a miscarriage. Giuliana was not going to have a mammogram before 40, but her doctor insisted. The cancer was detected early and the prospects of a full recovery are good.

Giuliana will undergo surgery to remove the tumor this week, and then be subjected to six weeks of radiation therapy. She has not given up on having a child of her own with her husband Bill Rancic in the future.

“I still want this baby … because this baby has saved my life,” Giuliana said. “I truly feel God was looking out after me … If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker.”

Bill has been an incredible support for the TV host. Giuliana said he has been “unbelievable. The best thing about Bill is, he lets me cry when I want to cry.”
