Actor Thomas Ian Nicholas, best known for playing the role of Kevin Myers in the American Pie film series, and his wife Colette have welcomed their first child, a healthy baby boy named Nolan River on Thursday (October 20).

Baby Nolan weighed in at 7 lbs., 4oz. (20 inches long) was finally born after 15 long hours of labor. The 31 year-old new daddy could have not been more happy and proud of his newborn son.

“The first thing that Nolan did when he entered the world was grab one of the doctor’s tools out of his hands,” Thomas told People. “We might just have a future doctor in our midst!”

After twelve years since the first “American Pie” movie, Thomas Ian, Jason Biggs, Sean William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein, Mena Suvari and Tara Reid reunite for the highly anticipated “American Reunion”, which will hit theaters on April 6, 2012.
