What? Yes, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who spent way too much time denying the obvious, are married… sort of! The two lovebirds actually said their “I do’s” in front of a real priest while shooting the epic wedding scene for the highly-anticipated fourth installment of The Twilight Saga, “Breaking Dawn – Part I”.

“The wedding scene’s funny because we used a real priest. So technically we are already married because he did all the things you would do in a normal ceremony. So we don’t have a civil union in law, but I guess in the church we are actually married,” Pattinson joked at a press conference in Stockholm, Sweden.

OH. EM. GEE. Twi-hards rejoice all over the world. RPattz and K-Stew actually went through all the “marriage rituals” and the priest did in fact say “I now declare you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride”. So when it comes to the eyes of the big Gee, Kristen and Robert are a couple in the most biblical sense of the word.

Anyhow, since a Twilight press conference would not be complete without the typical “we want to know all about those steamy sex scenes” questions, Robert said it was both awkward and uncomfortable.

“The sex scenes were difficult,” says Pattinson, “The set was crazy and you have about 20 people in the room and someone saying things like, ‘No, Bella would not have made that noise. Can we do it again?’”

“Kristen and I were both worried about how the shape of our bodies would look on camera. We felt vulnerable,” he admits.

Robert is way too smart for his own good. The 25 year-old actor pointed out the whole Twilight Saga is like a big PSA for abstinence and the consequences of actually having sex with the one you love (or anybody else for that matter). Plus, the vampire/human hot sex only starts AFTER marriage. That’s so lame…

“I’ve never been able to relate to that fear of sex or sexuality. It’s funny that all three movies portray sex as something scary and then, when they have sex in the fourth movie, they have a child with really rather devastating consequences. I’m not sure what they are trying to say…never have sex with anyone ever?”

Twilight is kind of depressing in a very teen way. Robert is right. The message is all wrong. Go out, have fun, be wild while you are young, because, unfortunately, life is not eternal for all of us mere mortals.
