Kim Kardashian‘s split from Kris Humphries is surprising everyone.
With Kim currently on her way out of the country for work with her sister’s Sears clothing line, the E! network, which films the Kardashian reality shows, is holding emergency meetings about the future of their family series.
An E! spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter that “network producers and executives are meeting today to discuss how to proceed as a result of the news.”
This morning, upon hearing the news, E! released a statement:
“All of us at E! are surprised and saddened by this news,” it states. “And we send our support to Kim and Kris at this difficult time.”
“The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions. E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.”
Kim and Kourtney Take New York and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami have both wrapped for the season, with New York set to premiere on Nov. 27, which has the network up in arms because the split wasn’t filmed.
Sources close to E! say a finale episode was filmed with the couple deciding to “take a break.” That ending is now dated and has left the series unfinished. It’s also been reported Humphries stormed off during shooting and asked for a higher salary.
Ah, the life of a reality show producer.
