Kim Kardashian is ending her 72 day marriage to Kris Humphries after weeks of fighting over his expensive party sprees and lazy attitude and just two days after she claimed they simply needed to work on spending more time together.

Right before Kim and Kris quickly decided to tie the knot, the socialite had to fight rumors of a torrid affair with Bret Lockett. They got married and a couple of weeks later, they were already fighting about where to live, jobs, responsibilities, and their busy schedules. At least Kim has been pretty busy, while unemployed Kris sits around, waiting for NBA lockout to be over.

Meanwhile, Kim, Kris and the Kardashian family kept denying the “rumors”, claiming the newlyweds couldn’t be happier, which was exactly the contrary of what we could observe every time the two appeared together in public lately.

A week later, Kim is filing legal documents seeking divorce and not an annulment of the wedding. Kim lists October 31, 2011 (today!) as the date of their separation. The socialite wants each to pay their own lawyers’ fees, and asks the court to not give Kris any spousal support.

Although Kris wouldn’t mind having a sugar-mama, he did sign a pre-nuptial agreement. Either way, Kim is not playing around – she just hired the one and only Laura Wasser, who dealt with very high-profile divorces for celebrities like Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, Ryan Reynolds and Mel Gibson’s wife, Robyn Gibson.
