The “Rated R” singer Rihanna was forced to cancel her concert at the Malmo Arena in Sweden on Monday night (October 31) after being hospitalized with a bad case of the flu.

Live Nation released a statement informing the 23 year-old singer is in no condition to get up on stage and deliver a performance for her thousands of fans. They are currently working on rescheduling the show in the next few days.

Rihanna apologized to her Swedish fans in a statement, saying, “I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden. I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time…so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I’m really disappointed I couldn’t be there.”

Rihanna also took to her Twitter to apologize by posting a picture of her arm hooked up to an IV drip with the caption (pic below): “Sorry Malmo!!! #LOUDtour” The devoted fans will most likely understand and want “We Found Love” singer to take care of herself.
