Chaz Bono and his partner Lacey Schwimmer danced the Tango to the sound of “The Phanthom of the Opera” from Phantom of the Opera (watch video below).

Lacey was extremely hard on Chaz during rehearsals. Lacey wanted him to start shining on his own and claimed she cannot continue doing lame choreographies at this point in the competition. I actually thought the performance was quite intense and probably one of Chaz’s best performance despite the harsh critics from the judges.

Len Goodman thought it was a tough job for Chaz who was a bit out of character with the Tango, which needed a bit more aggressiveness. Bruno compared Chaz to a little penguin trying to be a dangerous bird of prey. OUCH. Carrie Ann Inaba pointed out she wants more content in week 6.

Wow. Chaz was totally set up for failure by that rehearsal footage, or what? Lacey threw him under the bus. Not fair.

Ricki thought they are pushing the limits with a fun and fast performance. Derek said he was hard on his partner because she does better under pressure. Ricki feels like she is chasing J.R. Martinez, who is also dancing a Quickstep. That was probably the fastest performance of the night so far, and for the first time I wasn’t completely bored by Ricki’s performance.

Len Goodman loved it, saying you don’t need luck when you’ve got talent. Bruno claimed the choreography was outstanding, the style was impeccable and the interpretation was beyond belief. Carrie Ann Inaba thought she saw poetry in motion, screaming “Tony Award”.

I love David! David was struggling to find a balance between his crazy personality and excitement in order to deliver a good performance as far as technique goes. Perhaps David was a bit too worried about getting the steps right because he didn’t seem to be going as wild as we expected.

David’s daughter Coco is screaming for daddy. She loved it and that’s all that matters. Len Goodman thought it was high-energy, full of enthusiasm yet a bit rough around the edges. Bruno thought they were charged up like a live wire. Carrie Ann Inaba said they were a bit out-of-sync, but they lived up to expectations as far as performance goes.

During rehearsals, Nancy was worried she might not be able to keep up with the choreography. Tristan and Nancy got into some sort of argument because Nancy asked for a more difficult choreography, but she thought Tristan went too far. Nancy was having a blast during their performance.

Len Goodman thought Nancy delivered more flair and personality yet her posture and hold weren’t as great. Bruno said Nancy did capture the feel of it with a sense of humor and playfulness. Carrie Ann Inaba claimed she upped the ante on her content and nailed that performance.

Rob was learning to shake his booty, when his mama, Kris Jenner, showed up to say how proud she is that her son is now becoming a man. Aww. Rob is such a mama’s boy. Rob is finally taking himself seriously, claiming he wants to be a real contender on this season of DWTS.

The Kardashian sisters are screaming in the audience. Len Goodman thought the performance was a bit stiff and lacked the rhythm demanded for a Cha Cha. Bruno also thought Rob lacked a bit of attitude to cause an impact on the dance floor. Carrie Ann Inaba said she saw charisma coming out of him and described him as a college bloomer.

Martha Stewart‘s daughter Alexis appeared on The Today Show Monday morning to promote her new book with former collaborator Jennifer Koppelman-Hutt, titled Whateverland.

Alexis, who says growing up with her mother was like having “a glue gun pointed at my head,” reveals other secrets about America’s homemaker inside the book as well. When asked if the book was an attack on her famous mother, she responded, “It’s not a book about my mother. It’s a book about growing up and learning to live with what happened or didn’t happen.”

Her icy responses didn’t end there.

What made the interview so uncomfortable were the exchanges, or lack of, between Alexis and Koppelman-Hutt, who have “broken up” since writing the book and working on their radio show together.
