“Survivor: South Pacific” contestant Semhar Tadesse was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI), after being pulled over for running a red light in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (October 27).

The 25 year-old took a breathalyzer test and blew .14, which is almost twice the legal limit in the state. Semhar, who recently lost a good friend to drunk driving, was promptly arrested and released a few hours later on $5,000 bail.

Semhar took to her Twitter to reveal a couple of bruises on her arm, claiming the cops manhandled her. She tweeted, “F*** LAPD…bullies. One of the many marks I got…pulled by my hair…its always bad when the blk girl turns red. I don’t hate all Cops…I just hate the cops that did this…5 of em? Really? I weigh 110…loosers.” Later, she added, “Can’t thank everyone enough for all of the support and kind words that are coming in right now XOXO.”

While making an appearance on The View Friday, Sex and the City star Mario Cantone announced that he married his longtime partner Jerry Dixon earlier this month.

“We got married on my roof by Jamie Bakker, who is Tammy Faye Bakker’s son,” he said. “It was beautiful, just my family was there.”

The 1990s hit sketch comedy show In Living Color is set to return to FOX.

Keenen Ivory Wayans is producing two half-hour specials based on his classic sketch comedy series. The show is being called a “revival,” which will feature a new cast  young talent as well as musical performances by special guests.

Two episodes will be shown this spring, with the option to order the entire season next fall.

The first In Living Color helped to launch the career of Wayans own family as well as Jamie Foxx, David Alan Grier and Jim Carrey.

Multiplatinum British singer Adele has cancelled all of her upcoming shows and appearances for the rest of the year to undergo surgery.

The singer, who exploded on the charts this year, has been plagued with throat problems all year, causing her to have to cancel shows.

Friday, a statement on her website was released:

“It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011.”

“She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitments.”

Adele is expected to recover by February–just in time for the Grammy’s!

“Changing my diet was the big thing,” the 5-foot-7 Georgia native tells the new issue of Us Weekly. “I had to learn correct portion control.”

“I eat an egg-white omelet for breakfast, shrimp and veggies for lunch and chicken with asparagus for dinner,” she said.

The 16 year-old country singer, whose first album “Wildflower” debuted at #5 on Billboard, is only 10 pounds away from her goal. “I’m 10 pounds from my goal — almost there! I wear size small and extra-small now!”

Lauren looks absolutely fantastic. She doesn’t need to lose more weight, but she doesn’t seem to be obsessed with crazy dieting, which is great because she is way too young to worry too much about it. Lauren will celebrate her 17th birthday on November 8th.

Melissa Joan Hart‘s former manager has filed a lawsuit against her claiming that the actress is refusing to pay him commissions for her current ABC Family show Melissa & Joey.

Kiernan Maguire, who began working for Hart in 2006, filed a complaint with the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday. Maguire says he was fired after Hart got her newest gig on ABC Family.

“This case is one more incident of an actress who seeks to take advantage of, mistreat and thumb her nose at those in her employ — in this instance the person who rescued her career as it was plummeting towards obscurity,” the lawsuit states. “Melissa Joan Hart has no heart.”

A rep for Hart released a statement, saying:

“Melissa worked with Kieran for a finite period of time, and he was paid in full for his services. During that time, Melissa never reviewed nor signed a management contract with him; nor did Kieran ever present her with one.  No agreement was ever reached between the two of them. Ultimately, Melissa and several of her partners had issues with the way Kieran did business, and Melissa terminated her relationship with him several months ago. There is no basis whatsoever for the material allegations in his lawsuit, which are untrue and defamatory.”

Lionsgate released a series of promotional posters for the highly anticipated movie “The Hunger Games”, which is an adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel of the same name, featuring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne (see posters below).

Robert is way too smart for his own good. The 25 year-old actor pointed out the whole Twilight Saga is like a big PSA for abstinence and the consequences of actually having sex with the one you love (or anybody else for that matter). It’s funny that all three movies portray sex as something scary and then, when they have sex in the fourth movie, they have a child with really rather devastating consequences. William Blankenship, an editor who worked on shows like Jon and Kate Plus 8, Kate Plus 8, 17 Kids and Counting and Table for 12, was arrested on October 21 on child porn-related charges.

TLC Cancels Kate Plus 8, Jon Gosselin Responds

58-year-old Blankenship was charged with 10 counts of sex exploit of a minor, which means he possessed photos and/or video of a minor engaged in sexual activity. YUCK.

No bond has been set for the creepster. He is likely ”under the authority of the U.S. Marshals” until trial, a spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons said.

Figure 8 Films, the company he worked as a subcontractor for, released a statement on the arrest:

“Bill Blankinship was employed by Serious Robots, with whom Figure 8 Films subcontract for editing services. Upon learning of the shocking allegations his employment was terminated,”

The company went on to explain that Blankenship was never in contact with the Gosselin children or any of the other TLC stars:

“At no time was this man ever in the field or in direct contact with any of the talent for any of our productions.”

Actress Anne Son, best known for playing Caroline Chung (“The Wallflower“) in “My Generation”, was arrested for suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run after she smashed into a parked police car in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday morning (October 26).

After hitting the cop car, Anne flew the scene, forcing the police officers to pursue her on foot. She eventually stopped down the block. The officers were welcomed by the strong smell of alcohol coming from the inside of Anne’s vehicle and had her take a breathalyzer test.

Anne blew an astonishing .19 and a .20, which is over double the legal limit of blood alcohol level in the sunny state of California. The actress was taken to jail and released a few hours later on $30,000 bail.

Former “The Real World: Back To New York” star, Kevin Dunn, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, after he almost hit a police car in his hometown of Austin, Texas earlier this month.

On October 5th, Kevin, who now works for ESPN’s Longhorn Network, blew through a lane of oncoming traffic, before he hit the brakes hard to avoid a collision with a police car. Kevin was immediately pulled over and arrested for misdemeanor DUI.
