The upcoming sixteenth season of “The Bachelor” starring Ben Flajnik, a former Bachelorette contestant rejected by Ashley Hebert, is set to premiere January 12, 2012 on ABC.

While Ashley is happily engaged to JP Rosenbaum, Ben still hasn’t found love. The 29 year-old California winemaker will be looking for the woman of his dreams in a series of dates with beautiful Bachelorettes vying for his heart.

And the best way to Ben’s heart is through Scotch, his loyal Jack Russell Terrier. The producers of the show are pretty excited to have Ben since they believe he could become “ratings gold”.

Bachelor host Chris Harrison said of their new Bachelor: “Everyone wants to realize the man he really is. He’s in the right place to find love.” Will Ben finally find what he’s looking for or set himself up for heartbreak again?
