Carrie Fisher 50 lbs. Weight Loss (Before & After PHOTOS)
Actress Carrie Fisher, best known for playing Princess Leia in the original “Star Wars” trilogy, had been struggling with alcohol addiction, bipolar disorder and weight issues for a long, long time, before she finally decided to change her life around.
The 55 year-old was treated at the Silver Hill psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut, and managed to lose 50 lbs. over the past year. Carrie, who confessed she has a lot of trouble keeping the weight off, was 180 lbs. when she started, but she still wants to lose 10 more lbs.
“They really did heal me. It’s the alma mater that matters,” Carrie said.”It will be a year on Thanksgiving. You have that last gigantic meal, look in the mirror. None of your clothes fit, and … forget it.”
What is harder for Carrie: the Jenny Craig diet or exercise? It’s no surprise Carrie does not enjoy the exercise part of the successful weight loss equation. “You do the treadmill first, which is this horrendous, evil thing,” she said. “And then you get on the elliptical” for 30 to 52 minutes.”
