VH1’s “Secrets Of Aspen” star, Laura Bellizzi, released an official statement to deny the rumors that point actor Mel Gibson, whom she was romantically linked over the summer, as the father of her unborn child.

A source told Star, Laura and Mel had started dating after meeting through mutual friends, and that she was claiming the actor was indeed her baby’s daddy. On the other hand, Mel said to have “no connection at all” to Laura, even though they were seen together at a party at Skybar in West Hollywood back in June.

Laura says, “Mel Gibson is not the father of my child.” However, she refuses to reveal the nature of her relationship with Mel, saying that’s “private” information.

Laura’s rep added, “Any alleged ‘friends’ of Ms. Bellizzi claiming that she told them that Mr. Gibson ‘is the father’ of her child are either misinterpreting her desire for privacy surrounding the identity of the father, or are being 100% dishonest in a misguided effort to seek five seconds of notoriety and fame.”
