B-list actor Ashton Kutcher has exposed himself as a hypocrite of the highest degree after tweeting his disgust at Penn State firing head football coach Joe Paterno.

Kutcher and his on-again/off-again wife Demi Moore have used Twitter to rail against sexual slavery involving women and children.  They’ve been relentless about it which is a good thing.

Yet, Kutcher Tweets tonight on @aplusk, “How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste”

Does Ashton not get it? Does he not realize what happened?  Paterno’s lack of action allowed a serial child predator, Jerry Sandusky, who had RAPED a 10-year old boy in the anus, in a shower in the Penn State locker room, to remain free after learning of the incident.

He allowed Sansusky on campus and in the team’s facilities as late as last week.

How can Ashton be so strongly against sexual slavery and the abuse of children via sexual means yet defend JoPa and Tweet that he was unjustly done by the Penn State Board of Trustees?

Wake up, Ashton! Put down the reefer!

UPDATE: Ashton has DELETED the Tweet and now claims he had no clue about it. One of the biggest sports fans in Hollywood claims he thought it was just a football thing. Geezum, he is catching hell on Twitter. No one believes him.

Actor/stand-up comedian Eddie Murphy, who was set to host the 84th Annual Academy Awards next year, has quit after producer Brett Ratner resigned over a homophobic remark he made while promoting his movie “Tower Heist” over the past weekend.

Eddie Murphy released the following statement:

“First and foremost I want to say that I completely understand and support each party’s decision with regard to a change of producers for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony. I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I’m sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job.”

The President of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Tom Sherak, confirmed the 50 year-old actor would no longer be hosting, noting: “I appreciate how Eddie feels about losing his creative partner, Brett Ratner, and we all wish him well.”

Brett apparently convinced Eddie to accept the Oscars hosting job. So with the producer out of the picture, it didn’t make sense for Eddie to continue. It was probably not a good decision – Eddie is basically paying for Brett’s mistakes.

Anyhow, replacements for producer and host should not be too hard to find. No names have been announced yet. The 2012 Oscars will air on ABC on February 26, 2012.

According to an insider, Josh had some issues with his voice during rehearsals last week. Josh’s vocal health issues were blamed on smokes and alcohol. Actress Carrie Fisher, best known for playing Princess Leia in the original “Star Wars” trilogy, had been struggling with alcohol addiction, bipolar disorder and weight issues for a long, long time, before she finally decided to change her life around.

The 55 year-old was treated at the Silver Hill psychiatric hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut, and managed to lose 50 lbs. over the past year. Carrie, who confessed she has a lot of trouble keeping the weight off, was 180 lbs. when she started, but she still wants to lose 10 more lbs.

“They really did heal me. It’s the alma mater that matters,” Carrie said.”It will be a year on Thanksgiving. You have that last gigantic meal, look in the mirror. None of your clothes fit, and … forget it.”

What is harder for Carrie: the Jenny Craig diet or exercise? It’s no surprise Carrie does not enjoy the exercise part of the successful weight loss equation. “You do the treadmill first, which is this horrendous, evil thing,” she said. “And then you get on the elliptical” for 30 to 52 minutes.”
