Chris dedicates his performance to his rehab counselor who he credits for saving his life. I personally loved the fact he brought “Young Homie” back. Nicole Scherzinger pointed out how powerful Chris’ music and words were. Paula Abdul took the opportunity to thank Chris’ counselor and encourage him to continue saving lives.

Simon Cowell honestly did not like the first part of his performance and was glad Chris decided to remind people exactly why he was chosen to be on that stage. Simon also believes Chris may have helped thousands of people by openly speaking about his struggles. L.A. Reid simply said he believes in Chris.

Wow. Melanie dedicates her song to God. Seriously? A R. Kelly song dedicated to God? What the heck was she thinking? “The World’s Greatest”? Too cheesy and too tacky, but there’s no doubt the girl can sing. And she can sing whatever she wants with that powerful vocal instrument.

The truth is Melanie really wanted to thank Simon Cowell for bringing her back to the competition. Melanie had a meltdown and spoke with the most incredible accent. L.A. Reid thought it was good and Melanie looked amazing. Nicole Scherzinger just wanted to give her a hug.

Paula Abdul was waiting for this moment to happen and Melanie’s vulnerability to come out. And it did. Girl friend just had a major meltdown on that stage. Really? Simon Cowell said Melanie was outstanding and begged people at home to vote for her because they need her in this competition.

Marcus is a true mama’s boy! His mother did everything to guarantee Marcus had a good education, even though they lived in a bad neighborhood. Marcus owes it all to his mama, who was in tears in the audience. Those raw emotions ended up deeply affecting his performance, but the judges could care less because they were feeling him.

Nicole Scherzinger believed Marcus’ heart-felt performance, and said he made all other sons look bad. Paula Abdul was just overwhelmed with the passion and connection Marcus’ was able to achieve. Simon Cowell felt that connection for the first time, saying Marcus is back in the competition. L.A. Reid told him he is as great as any great singer he’s ever known (= verbatim!).

L.A. Reid was left speechless by Rachel’s sweetness. “I wanted to be critical, but you shut me down,” he said. Nicole Scherzinger’s and Paula Abdul’s verbatim: “You are an inspiration. You’re a bright light. You are an angel. You look adorable.” Simon Cowell was just grateful he had the idea to drop the age down for the competition.

War hero turned soap star, J.R. Martinez, was crowned the winner of the thirteenth season of Dancing With The Stars during a special two-hour results show on Tuesday (November 22)- watch video below.

The night started with the three final celebrity dancers, Rob Kardashian, Ricki Lake and J.R., taking over the dance floor for a redemption round. Then, Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough were eliminated – Ricki takes the 3rd place!

Rob and J.R. had to return to the dance floor for a final instant Samba round before the winner was announced. They both did incredible and earned a perfect score in the fourth competitive dance round of the final week.

When the winner was finally announced, J.R. thanked the fans for believing in him and his wonderful dance partner Karina Smirnoff, who also took home her very first mirror ball trophy.

“First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who voted for us for 10 weeks,” Martinez said. “Thank you, America, for believing in us.”

Then he told Karina, “You are amazing, and I’m so grateful I was able to be a part of your first mirror-ball trophy.”

DWTS runner-up Robert Kardashian was also very grateful for making it this far in the competition and his partner Cheryl Burke pointed out he is also a winner since he was the one who showed more improvement and was able to really grow up and become a man.

“I’m super thankful,” he said, after the results were announced. “This is such a crazy experience. I’m definitely not sad. I won in my book.”

Of course, the Kardashians always win in their book. I wonder if Ryan Seacrest doesn’t have another E! special planned for Rob’s incredible achievements on the DWTS’ dance floor.
